Spidey was throwing cars around like they were paperweights using his webs.

Cap loses fast if Spidey is serious. The strength difference is absurd.

Cap still wins, besting Promixa and Glaive are better than Peter's feats.

@the_knight_rhoden: Pretty sure he wasn't. Its late and i'm tired after seeing the movie but IIRC Spidey only grabbed and swung about 1/3 (the back end) of a taxi on to Cull Obsidian. It was cut from one of Strange's or Wong's portals. I dont remember him swinging full cars around.

@camilopezo: I hate you lol

I think spidey wins this, Cap didn't get any better in IW, and Spidey's new suit is pretty freaking good. Cap probably wouldn't be able to hit him, and he'd get webbed down pretty quickly

Spidey stomps. Honestly, a mismatch if Peter is trying half as hard as he was on Titan.

@tayssti: That might have been exaggerated I admit, but Spidey still stopped Cull's downward swing, which feels way stronger than anything Cap has done.

@the_knight_rhoden: I think hes stronger, but way stronger feels a bit much to me. Honestly have to watch the movie a few more times to take take it all in properly.

I would think Peter. But Cap is supposed to be portrayed as incredibly smart, so he can find a way to win again.

I still say Cap. This movie highlighted some of his inexperience. He doesn't know how to make use of his armor. Any strength feats Peter got in this movie aren't new; we knew he was strong. But he was still inexperience. I'd also say that, while this movie gave Spider-Man some spider sense moments, it was more like a general "I have a bad feeling about this" than it was combat applicable. So I maintain that the spider sense is useless in a fight.

Cap managed to dodge and land some blows on Thanos, too. And he didn't have the benefit of webs and agility to help him. He did it through pure skill. Couple that with his showings against the Black Order and... yeah. I still say Cap.

Spidey was casually catching and throwing cars with one hand web and is way more agile/faster. He slaughters cap.

Cap would still beat him because of the same reasons as before, but it's not as one-sided anymore.

@amcu thoughts?

I'm leaning towards Peter but I can see myself changing my mind. There is simply so much stuff to analyse. And Cap was able to take on the Black Order members and fodderise the Outrider which where pretty OP. I can see an argument for either but I'm not sure I can say until I think about it some more and maybe see the film again.

Yeah, I agree with this.

This is a good point and I think a lot of people dont remember this. It also really effects the Iron Man building dropping feat on Thanos.

first off, i don't believe they said that. They said something about the gravity, but i don't recall anyone saying 1/10 earths gravity

second, what does gravity have to do with his feats? does gravity make it easier to strike? does it make thanos more susceptible to pain?

and third, Spidermans best feat was catching black dwarfs ax.... on earth...

Peter probably. His feat of easily stopping Cull Obsidian was pretty impressive. The waldoes could also help him take Cap by surprise.

He wasn't trying to fight him. If he would've, Quill would've gotten wrecked.

@webinyoureye11: @blackspidey2099: a little off topic but you guys are the Spidey experts so quick question:

Did Spider-Man throw a punch at Thanos during their fight? That's technically the first time we ever see MCU Spidey throw a punch correct? Civil War was just kicks and webs, as was Homecoming IIRC.

@oreoghoul: He definitely did punch Thanos, but I can't confirm whether that was for sure the first time he attempted to throw a punch. I'm not really a huge fan of MCU Spidey tbh, lol.

Technically, he kinda punched falcon in the airport scene when he said "you have the right to remain silent!" But he was clearly holding back

but yes, he did punch thanos

The difference in strength between the two is massive. Peter should win this especially after getting an upgrade.

@emanresu_20: tbh, it was massive in Civil War too. It still didn't matter enough. The reason Peter can win more now is mainly due to his Iron Spider suit.

Cap's gauntlets might be able to one shot Peter by cutting him if Peter tries to fight up close. If it where Pure H2H Peter would wreck him.

Spider-Man should get the win. Cap always struggled against Bucky and Spidey caught Bucky’s metal arm punch like nothing. He even stopped Cull’s punch in its tracks. He is very very strong. So like I said in theory Spidey should beat Cap.

Spider-Man. His strikes are harder, he's more agile, and his durability is better. The punch Cap 'tanked' from Thanos after Steve held back the gauntlet for a few seconds put him down.
