If Wonder Woman tries to get close to Hela she gets gutted her performance against Steppenwolf shows that she isn't great at fighting people just as strong and skilled as she is and Hela is tiers above Steppenwolf.
Steppenwolf himself is fast, skilled and has the advantage of size and having a long weapon like an axe also gives him reach. Hela has none of these advantages against Diana, she fights a notch or two above Thor's own pace of combat and we know Diana is faster than he is indefinitely.
Matter of fact, Diana was nerfed in terms of combat speed for Justice League. She's shown to be faster than she was there in her other appearances. All this said, Hela hasn't got much stopping Diana from putting her blade against her throat, shoulder, thigh, etc. Hela's only means of defence in H2H combat are her hands as we see when she blocked a blow from Gungnir. She's stupid enough to do that when Diana swings her sword downward and she loses both arms in the process.
Though resorting to BFR could actually land them a win it depends on how they do it if they bear hug her they're more likely getting nailed through the chest.
None of them have ever tried bear hugging, so I don't see that being viable. There's that and the fact that Hela only seems to be able to summon weapons from her arms, so if her arms are locked in a downward position, she can't really do much with them.
Hela has no chance of soloing here.
