Odin 2 shots, unless you take Odin's "your stronger" statement to Thor as him literally admitting inferiority.

Either solos. Odin's combat feats are virtually non existent.

He'd win if the fight were on paper though.

Odin should win by logic but he has 0 combat feats and also let the Dark Elfs invade his kingdom and kill his wife so maybe he just doesn’t have combat abilities.

Odin just taps the ground with his staff and turns both into stars if he's bloodlusted

By Hype Odin could beat them.

From what we’ve seen Thor and Hela easily defeat their elderly father

Hela solos if BFR not allowed

Thor gets immediately depowered and so he's a non factor but I don't think Odin can depower Hela. From what I understand, Odin couldn't depower or kill Hela or defeat her and so BFRd her and he had to literally bind her with his life force. By combat feats, Odin is even worse than Thor. He literally got blinded by Frost Giants while Loki himself said Thor could slaughter the entire planet of Frost Giants if he wanted

In combat either child solos, though Odin can use authority to depower or bfr.

Duo. Odin confirmed that Thor>

I believe he was referring to Thor’s latent potential that will be explored later on in the MCU.

@nassergrant19: at this point Thor has likely done that. Imagine current Thor with Stormbreaker concerned at all vs jotunheim or svartleheim (or whatever MCU calls their DE faction. He would walk through all of them in a way in a way that Odin never did (I know there is context to Odin not wanting war and surprise attack by malekith but point stands)

I feel like we’ll see him do that in Thor 5 or Avengers 5. As now I don’t think so.

However you may be right that he’s already done that since he was never really pushed in L&T and made it clear he had to hold back on Gorr for the kids.

@nassergrant19: fair enough, it is all guesswork on the part of Odin also as far as his upper limits and lack of feats in that regard.

Speaking of which there's a deleted scene where Frigga outright tells him to kill Kurse and Malekith lol

Lore/Statement

  • After his father Bor died in battle, Odin ascended to the throne as king of Asgard and became a peacekeeper within the Nine Realms. In an effort to prevent the prophecy of Ragnarök from taking place, Odin defeated the Fire Demon Surtur at full power, grievously wounding him and taking the Eternal Flame, the source of his power, back to Asgard with him and banished Surtur in the realm of Muspelheim, where he remained in a limping, weakened state for thousands of year.

  • As Allfather, Odin battled great beasts, invaded other realms, destroyed demons and monsters, devastated whole worlds, and laid waste to mighty kingdoms.

  • Odin eventually had a daughter named Hela, whom he chose to be his Executioner and Commander of the Einherjar, Asgard's army. Together, they conquered the Nine Realms, forging Asgard into a mighty empire.

  • When Hela's ambitions eventually grew too great and attempted to take the throne from her father by force, Odin had realized that Hela was a danger to Asgard. Unwilling to seal his kingdom's fate with his daughter's life, Odin instead banished Hela to the barren wastes of Hel, binding his lifeforce to her prison to ensure Hela remained imprisoned for as long as he lived.

  • When Hela tried to break from her prison, Odin sent his legendary female warriors, the Valkyrie, to stop her. When Odin realized that the Valkyrie had been defeated and killed by his daughter, Odin personally entered Hel, once again emerging victorious over Hela, and re-imprisoned her.

Skill

  • Odin's thousands of years of experience resulted in him becoming a master tactician. His tactical abilities were shown by the fact that he had led Asgard's army, the Einherjar, to victory in countless battles. His strategy gave Asgard control over the Nine Realms.

  • Odin was an extremely skilled and formidable combatant, with thousands of years of training and combat experience, making him the greatest warrior in the Nine Realms of his time.

Abilities

  • As an Asgardian, Odin possessed all of the various superhuman attributes common among his people, including superhuman strength, durability, speed, agility, stamina, reflexes, healing, and was extremely long-lived. However, as the king of Asgard, his superhuman attributes were far surpassed any Asgardian, even his son Thor, who openly acknowledged Odin's powers as being superior to his. Odin's powers were even superior to that of Hela, who held it in a high regard and openly claimed that he always remained unchallenged in his conquest and had the power needed to conquer the cosmos. This is true considering he was able to defeat and imprison his daughter in Hel, and defeated and grievously wounded a full powered Surtur and took away his Eternal Flame, which left Surtur in a battered, limping and weakened state for five thousand years. Keep in mind that Surtur with the Eternal Flame was powerful enough to one shot Hela and vaporize Asgard (calc'd to be a Large Island Level+feat).

  • Odinforce :Odin was capable of generating and manipulating his own life force's magical and cosmic energy for a number of effects, such as to effortlessly strip Thor of his own powers and made him mortal. Whilst channeling the Odinforce through Gungnir, Odin is capable of projecting powerful energy blasts that enabled him to destroy multiple Frost Giants and Dark Elves effortlessly. He also was able to use the Odinforce to bind Hela in Hel with his life serving as the lock to her prison. His mystical power also allowed him to transcend death and exist as a spirit, allowing Thor to have visions of his father and communicate with him after he had died and his body dispersed into energy.

  • Dark Magic: Odin was one of the only two Asgardians who had access to dark magic, which allowed him to effortlessly tap into an esoteric energy capable of summoning the Bifrost to transport others through the universe without needing to use the Rainbow Bridge, as shown when he was able to channel a great amount of dark energy to send Thor to Earth when the Bifrost was still destroyed.

  • Enchantment: Odin is capable of placing multiple permanent enchantments on items, as he did for Mjølnir when he exiled Thor to Earth. His power of enchantments allowed him to change the appearance of Loki into that of an Asgardian when the latter was a baby, by giving some Asgardian energy to him, which enhanced Loki's physical powers, as well as to enhance Mjølnir to make it able to allow Thor to easily harness his innate supernatural powers until he had fully mastered them.

  • Cosmic Awareness: Odin was able to be aware of what is happening in his surroundings and even across the Nine Realms. During Thor's coronation, the Frost Giants infiltrated the Vault. Even though Odin was in the middle of a speech, he was able to notice that the Frost Giants were many meters below them. Knowing this, he had the Destroyer kill the intruders. Even when in Odinsleep, he was still aware of his surroundings. On Asgard, he witnessed Thor dying on Earth and started crying despite being in Odinsleep. He was also able to sense Loki and Thor walking up behind him while he was in Norway.

Weapons & Assets

  • Gungnir: Gungnir is imbued with a powerful form of energy, similar to that of the Destroyer automaton. Through this, Gungnir's wielders are able to project powerful, potentially continuous, energy blasts. Bor, Odin, and Loki have been shown capable of firing energy blasts of consistent power, capable of taking out several enemies at once. Gungnir has also been shown to channel other forms of energy, with Odin using it to channel the dark energies needed to send Thor to Earth. It was also shown capable of opening and closing the Bifrost Bridge in place of Heimdall's sword during Thor's banishment. Among its several enchantments, Gungnir has been shown to be directly tied to the Asgardian weapon, the Destroyer.
  • The Destroyer: Enchanted to recognize the holder of Gungnir as the ruler of Asgard as its master, whoever holds the spear is able to order the Destroyer, over any distance, to do their bidding, which it will unquestioningly fulfill no matter what the task. In addition, the wielder can pilot the Destroyer from across the cosmos and perceive through its senses.

  • Hugin and Munin: Odin's two raven familiars. Through their eyes, Odin can observe events that occur across the Nine Realms, such as when the two followed Thor to Earth during the Chitauri invasion, and watched over the latter's conflict with Loki.

I'd say Odin was undoubtedly a tier above even Thanos, taking lore and statements into account.

Odin could honestly make Thor mortal again, then seal Hela away if he wanted to. Both stated their inferiorly to him. Also, Odin stating "you're stronger" to Thor was more than likely referring to his future potential. It wouldn't make sense for Ragnarok Thor to be stronger than Odin when he couldn't even beat Hela who was fodderized by Surtur, both of whom Odin fought and defeated.
