Mantis wins round one but loses round two.

Luke loses round one, he normally wouldn’t fight a woman in character, unless she’s trying to attack him with a weapon. Luke wins round 2 easy though.

Mantis spits some web sht on Luke's face and puts him to sleep.

In character she puts him to sleep. He is so slow she probably does it bloodlusted.

I don't see where people thinks Luke takes it easy on women? Dude whooped up several women in S2, and fought an old grandma with no trouble to his conscience. He also fought Elektra. In character he swats Mantis like a bug. He doesn't discriminate when it comes to fights.

Also Luke is way faster than even Olympic gold medalist track star runners like Usain Bolt. How the heck is he slow?

@jdogg: Luke isn't slow, but in-character, he doesn't exert himself to the fullest in most situations.

Mantis with no difficulty whatsoever.

Mantis probably takes R1. They can one-shot each other but Mantis is more likely to 'strike' first.

Luke wins R2. She won't get the chance to put him to sleep.

I'm finding it very hard to believe Mantis did anything to warrent these bump apart from fancily beating up fodder. Especially since no ones posted anything.

@greysentinel365: Luke’s too sluggish to actually land an intentional on her whereas, Mantis doesn’t even have to fight him. She can just hop on his shoulders. Her agility is akin to Spider-Man, unnaturally acrobatic, and agile, can hop from surface to surface etc.

She’s also not particularly frail either. She took a multi-story fall, alongside Drax and Gamora and all of them landed on their feet unharmed from the drop. Took a direct laser to her hand and it didn’t break her focus on calming Ego or go all the way through, the same lasers that were carving away at Ego. And Also took a meteorite straight to the face with no visible damage, other than it KO’ing her.

Also HE’s creatures we’re pretty strong. Able to topple over buildings with assistance from their jetaacks. On average, the battle ones were bigger than Luke and had more range due to their longer arms and Mantis was dancing and swinging around them with no issue.

In the X-Mas special (for what it’s worth) she also managed to incapacitate several armed and ready to shoot police officers before any of them could get a shot off at her.

I’ll work on some gifs from the new movie for mantis but she took out a bunch of guards with spin kicks and TP.. and went on to fight these guys.

They are insanly strong for fodder.. pushing over building and ripping up knowheres head.. they also were bashing through walls and blast doors.

Mantis has some nice feats for sure.

Mantis sweeps. It's beyond simplicity for her to get on Luke and put him to sleep quickly.

Mantis may even win without TP

Mantis only because of TP
