Power/durability-wise Kurse was a monster. If Zod wins this he's in for the fight of his life.

Zod's physicality is on another level, and his striking/blunt force durability is far more impressive.

  • Zod 7-8/10.

Edit: forgot 'bout HV. He could cut Kurse in half without having the need to engage him in CQC.

What skill are we equalizing? Zods skill was matched by a farmboy who had no previous training and started fighting a few hours before his fight with him and Kurse showed no skill

Clark was losing that fight if you actually bother to count how many hits each of them landed. Zod not only embarassed him in that instance, but showcased he can counterattack in mid-air, despite having no training in such environment. The fact that he adapted to all of that so quickly is already impressive. Plus you have him giving a fight to Jor-El who could take three men at once albeit with some difficulties. Granted he did lost, but there was surprise factor (Zod believed he was fighting a sciencist and his deeply integrated perception of roles in kryptonian society would arguably make him underestimate his opponent) and Jor-El got the first strike.

Zod might not be a top tier fighter, merely a trained one, but he was never matched by a Clark skill-wise.

@foxerdes: a farm boy who had never been in a fight in his entire life shouldn't have been able to land even a single blow on someone with skill, Zod has the minimum amount of skill points you can give a character, Faora is one with skill and we all saw how that went and she wasn't even adapted like Zod

Zod stomps

He can just erase Kurse with HV. He doesn't even need to touch him. In terms of Strength, throwing supersonic punches, matching Superman blow for blow and punching him through 6 (If I can remember correctly) skyscrapers in a line is greater than anything Kurse has done.

Zod wins in two punches. Kurse lacks any good blunt force feats and Zod is a solid striker.

@leonardsnart:

a farm boy who had never been in a fight in his entire life shouldn't have been able to land even a single blow on someone with skill

It sounds like moving the goalpost from Clark outright matching his skill, to landing a single blow being an equivalent of an utter failure for Zod. Well, he just received his powers and he was still winning the fight. Clark had years to adapt and hone his. Zod still outfought him despite fighting in a completely new reality. Not to mention Kal only landed hits by either being faster or in the air where he had vastly more experience.

Zod has the minimum amount of skill points you can give a character, Faora is one with skill and we all saw how that went and she wasn't even adapted like Zod

Zod replicated Faora's feat and matched him in the air - something she never had to do. Beside, you seem to be forgetting that Clark not only landed hits on her as well, but actually countered her attacks:

So, as you said yourself:

a farm boy who had never been in a fight in his entire life shouldn't have been able to land even a single blow on someone with skill

I guess that Faora has no skill either. Well, not true at all. Clark has way more experience with his powers and may even have better stats. There is no shame in getting hit by him few times.

@foxerdes: I'm not moving any goal posts, Zod has 0 skill unless you think blocking a few punches from someone who had never been in a fight their entire life until a few hours ago is impressive

If Faora got tagged by Supes in another time either than when he bullrushed at her then she's not as skilled as I though either, I guess they're all jobbers

Sometimes Zod is Supermans equal when he's fighting other characters but sometimes superman is stronger when it comes to why a General lost to a farm boy, I just don't know anymore

Faora and Zod fought at the same speed as Superman, getting tagged by him is shameful, no matter the experience and superman had only learnt how to fly for about a day, he had a days experience lol

Lol being skillful won't help you against someone who physically outclasses you by a considerate margin.

Edit: Kurse hasn't shown anything noteworthy in the skill department either. Lmao. Based on feats, Zod is actually more skilled.

@thebestofthebest: lol wtf nobody has said Kurse showed any skill, which posts are you reading

This whole discussion is about there being no need to equalize skill cause one had trouble with a farm boy and the other didn't do anything noteworthy
