@the_magister: This seems like something that will be fun to discuss and I can definitely see it going somewhere, if you're interested. But please try and avoid S2 feats wherever possible because I'm only three episodes in right now.
I think that Dex is pretty similarly skilled to Frank. He's not as physically able, but in pain tolerance and skill I think they're at the same level, with Dex being a bit faster as well.
Throughout their encounters in the last episode it was pretty clear to me that Fisk would destroy Dex in any unarmed fight. Now Dex isn't Frank and the reason you think Frank would win is because of his skill on top of sufficient physicals, which I'd agree is more than Dex has. But the reason I don't think that is enough is because despite Frank's insane strength, it doesn't even come close to Fisk's. He most likely hits hard enough to hurt him, but notice that in every fight Fisk has he starts by rushing his opponent and once the distance is closed, he keeps a hand on them. That's what's important. He knows he's stronger than anyone he's likely to face but vulnerable to being outskilled, so he tries to keep them in place and slam them down so skill can't be used. He was doing that at the time I linked above, and Dex only managed to get away because Fisk injured his hand and let go. But even then Fisk caught him again because - like Frank - he lacked the agility to avoid being grabbed. He does the same thing with Matt at 1:05. He only ever lets his grip go when throwing or when another fighter gets involved and he has to switch things up. He never just swings. When he punches it's with a firm grip using his other hand, and he usually grapples and slams his opponent into things, often into a vulnerable position. (The exception is the last part of the video with Matt, but he can barely stand at that point.) So even though on paper it seems Frank is strong enough and skilled enough to overcome that gap, Fisk's style is absolutely great for stopping skill advantages from being utilised. All Frank has to do is slip up once, which even the more skilled Daredevil did, for Fisk to get his hands on him. And from there there isn't really much Frank can do without outside interference.
