I hate when people create polls and take Widows guns away, theyre some of her primary weapons and the most offensive ones. It's unfair, obviously she would win this easily with the guns but then put her against a bigger opponent or someone with better gear.

No one takes Caps shields out or Iron Mans repulsors out, but it seems like people want widow to loose.

I'm going with Jessica both rounds. She's stronger, and is a decent street fighter based on her episode 6 feats and her fight against Luke Cage, and is going to be extremely hard to damage based on her average durability feats.

Gear locks in Widow's odds as far as I'm concerned

I guarantee you Jess will be twice as impressive come Defenders. Can't wait...

I agree with you. There's a big difference between fighting one-on-one and a co-ordinated team of security guards. Jessica also got up right after they left and was unhurt. I don't thing Widow's Sting or shock sticks are powerful enough to put her out and even though she's untrained, Jessica's ability to absorb damage makes it likely she'll snatch the stun stick away.

I'm honestly surprised at how many think JJ has a shot. Widow is one of the best H2H fighters in the MCU and Jess has displayed no skills whatsoever. Sure Jessica is stronger, but can she even tag Nat? Widow has put down the Iron Legion which you'd think are just as strong, fast, and durable.

The people in this thread are just silly. We saw Jessica's strength get easily circumvented by Murakami. Her strength means nothing against a skilled opponent. She may have durability when it comes to blunt spread out forces like a car crash, but she's a marshmallow against precision hits on pressure points and joint locks.

Although I prefer JJ as a character overall (that's not to say I dislike Black Widow - which I don't,) but it would take a miracle for JJ to even touch BW despite being much stronger.

When it comes to other Defenders, BW vs Daredevil or Iron Fist is a different story. However, like JJ, Luke Cage lacks the speed, agility, and fighting skills to keep up with BW, but at least Cage has the durability advantage which JJ doesn't have.

Anyway, Black Widow both rounds although Jessica has a small chance in Round 1.

After watching S2 of JJ, this fight seems a little more debatable in my mind.

Okay let's look at that impressive strength feat with the bus. A New York transit bus weights about 44 000 pounds or 195,721 Newtons. We say that both of them needed to use all they had and barelt stopped the bus, so her mother's strength couldn't have been in excess. Jessica stated that her mother was "twice as strong as her," so their collective force together, pretending a represents Jessica's maximum force output:

a + 2a = 195, 721

a = 65, 240 Newtons of force.

That's about equivalent to lifting 4 cars over your head. Or 8 tons. And you also have to account for the fact that it was difficult to get a good grip. So her strength should be hovering around 10 tons. That's closing in on early days Spider-man's strength output.

That being said, that power is all in the muscles. Her bones and insides and nerves aren't very durable at all it seems. So, if Jessica manages to get a good shot in, BW is reconciling with her dead relatives. If BW manages to sneak in a few precision hits to her pressure points, JJ is down and out. This is the epitome of a 50/50 could go either way fight.

this could go either way - the strength gap is so huge that if Jessica merely tags her she could KO or kill Widow. All it takes is one regular to solid hit by Jessica Jones to end BW for good. Jessica is not crazy durable but Widow is going to have to get close to sting or hurt Jessica so this battle could end badly and very quick for the Widow.

After IW, I take it back again. Damn. I don't care if Jessica's punches could break the moon. She ain't landing a hit on that. Damn. How the f-ck can she even last a second against Thanos's children?
