Poll: MCU Hulk with Caps fighting skill rematches base Thanos. (69 votes)

Hulk brutally kills him. 29%
Still Thanos trashes. 65%
Result. 6%

Hulk learned all of the skills Cap has and he thinking Thanos is the one kidnaps both Nata and Betty so he’s pretty angry.

Who can win?

It would be much better fight but Hulk doesn't have as good striking as Worthy Cap. Plus Thanos still has strength advantage and especially outclasses Hulk in durability.

So Thanos beats him again.

Thanos has slightly better stats, but he still is massively outskilled since he has like 2 notable skills feats, and one of them is outskilling HULK.

There's no way skill was the only difference between them. Look at how both handled snapping. And how their strikes affected each other. Hulk puts up a better fight but just lacks the striking and durability to win a majority. Thanos would have to try harder to win though.

Hulk for the majority. Cap is just that skilled, and Hulk isn't that much weaker. Plus the fight will actually last long enough for him to get angry.

Still Thanos.

These new skills definitely give Hulk a boost, but he is physically not on the same level as Thanos.

Thanos, according to Marvel studios, is over a thousand years old. And he has been fighting extremely powerful beings and developing his combat skills for most, if not all of that time. Cap is undoubtedly less skilled than thor who was clearly out matched by thanos. Not only that but thanos is far stronger and more durable than hulk.

I don't think Hulk has the striking to put Thanos down. Cap is definitely way more skilled though. And not having to navigate the massive reach disadvantage will make it a lot easier to land strikes.

Why are your options so extreme? I think Thanos still wins, but it's much much closer.

It could go either way if he has the Cap's skills. Since they are physically equal, and Cap's skills = Thanos' skills.

There isn't a physical gap, lmao.

Joe Russo: “I think ultimately, the way we looked at that fight and the way talked about it with our stunt team when we were executing it was Hulk is obviously very powerful, but he’s a little mindless in his fighting style. It’s aggressive, it’s pummeling. Thanos is the Ghengis Kahn of the universe, he’s a very skilled fighter, equally as strong. So, when you put those two up against each other, the more skilled fighter is going to win ultimately. Which is why Hulk has a moment where he overpowers Thanos, but ultimately Thanos is smart.”

There is, in fact, a physical gap. But there is not a strength gap. Thanos and Hulk are equals in strength as you pointed out, but Thanos is more durable and faster; meaning he has the physical advantage, not the strength advantage. Thanos would still win in a fight.

It looks like Joe Russo didn't know about his own movie, or that doesn't mean Thanos is stronger. If Thanos couldn't do that, Hulk would stomp him right there by choking him to death, lmao.

If you had watched a Russo brothers movie before, you would know that doesn't make him stronger.

The exact same thing between Black Panther and Bucky's cybernetic arm, BP lifts Bucky's cybernetic arm, but that doesn't mean Black Panther is stronger than Bucky's cybernetic arm, it means he can match with it as Thanos did with Hulk.

@loomingshadows: It's Joe Russo, not Feige.

Yes you're right, these parts actually;

- ''Hulk is obviously very powerful, but he’s a little mindless in his fighting style. It’s aggressive, it’s pummeling.''

- ''So, when you put those two up against each other, the more skilled fighter is going to win ultimately. Which is why Hulk has a moment where he overpowers Thanos, but ultimately Thanos is smart.''

@erkan12: Ok my bad. But show me where in that post Joe Russo says “hulk and thanos are equal in strength but Thanos won due to skill. He might of been referring to how thanos strength works well with his skill. There is actually a moment where Thanos SHOWS he is stronger than the hulk https://comicvine1.cbsistatic.com/uploads/original/11139/111398367/7101172-equals.gif and you can easily see thar thanos is PULLING, WITH JUST HIS ARMS,hulks arms to the side while hulk is pushing down WITH HIS WHOLE BODY. It is also common knowledge that it is easier to push that to pull.

Literally the only argument you can make in Hulk’s favor is the Russo Brothers’ statement about how Hulk only lost due to a huge skill gap. I’m pretty sure they even said some nonsense about Hulk being stronger or just as strong as Thanos (even though we literally see Thanos overpowering both of Hulk’s arms and shrugging off Hulk’s hits without a scratch). Based on actual feats, Thanos’ skill isn’t the only reason Hulk lost that fight and he beats Hulk again.

Lol what. Kevin Fiege confired that thanos has been fighting for over a thousand years, and he clearly showed himself to be more skilled in combat then Thor, who by all means out classes cap in fighting skill. And i just proved that they are definitely not physically equal.

The idea of Thanos is his superiority. No one we've seen so far in the MCU is a better combatant.

His still superior skill combined with his still superior stats makes it pretty easy.

I don't need to show anything, everyone with common sense can understand what Russo meant there by pointing out the combat skill difference between Thanos and Hulk. He even said ''Hulk overpowers Thanos'' at the beginning, that's impossible if there is a physical strength difference between them.

And you just proved that you've never watched a Russo movie before, otherwise you would know doing that doesn't make one more powerful than the other. Black Panther can do the same to Bucky's cybernetic arm,

No Caption Provided

That just means Hulk isn't strong enough to choke Thanos to death like someone who is weaker than himself, so Thanos can protect himself from Hulk's choke just like BP did against Bucky's cybernetic arm.

''Lol'' Cap is more skilled than Thor. You can't prove otherwise. Higher age doesn't mean superior combat skills, that's ridiculous. Thor's combat skill feat is beating a couple of special agents without using his super powers which is very impressive. But that's not equal to someone like Cap's combat skills who is the most skilled fighter we've ever seen in mcu before. Thanos being more skilled than Thor doesn't mean he is also superior to Cap as well, that's ridiculous. Lmao.

Hulk stomps badly. Thanos is stronger yes but Hulk is still comparable. With Cap's skill he massively outclasses Thanos as a fighter which is far more important than physicals. Thanos gets clowned.

The russos have varied on whether Thanos is equal or stronger than the hulk. They've never said hulk is stronger than thanos.

It was Russo Brothers.

https://comicvine.gamespot.com/profile/erkan12/blog/thanos-mcu-respect-thread/138092/

Joe Russo: ''He is a genetic mutation and was born on a planet called Titan. He is a world conqueror, he is an incredibly well trained fighter, he is unbeatable in combat, he has got nearly invincible skin it's part of his genetic mutation.''

- Kinowetter Interview, 10/04/2018

Question: ''Hold on... Hulk has a whole healing factor... Why didn't his arm heal?''

Joe Russo: ''Hulk has never come up against every infinity stone in a gauntlet. Thanos is nearly invincible and he did not heal either. When you wield the full power of the Infinity Stones it does irreparable damage to your being.''

It depends on the gear they have. They’d be very roughly on par though, I’d say.
