MCU: Erik Killmonger vs Gamora

Vs.

Erik Killmonger takes on Gamora, the deadliest woman in the galaxy, in a random encounter with the opponents having no prior knowledge of one another.

Erik has the herb and his ritual combat gear. Gamora has the Godslayer.

Both combatants are morals off and determined to win by any means necessary.

Who wins and why?

Gamora’s sword is the Godslayer in the MCU?

TBH, I'm not sure.

@raavn: Dang. I was hoping there was some guidebook or tie-in comic that says her sword was the godslayer given to her by Thanos.

Gamora seemed to me to be more like superhuman whereas Killmonger was peak human. I think Gamora would win this.

@raavn: it has to be special though, it cut that monster like nothing when draxs knives did nothing.

SPOILERS IN MY POST. Just in case

I’d back Killmonger. Gamora’s only skill feat with her sword is fighting agaisnt Nebula who disarmed her, and Nebula’s only skill feat is disarming Gamora. Erik on the other hand has beaten T’Challa, beat Nakia, held off the Dora Milaje, killed one, and then held off the last four until getting cornered and used his suit to get out.

@savage_salience: OP says Killmonger is powered by the herb, so he has Panther’s superhuman physicals and isn’t peak human in this fight.

Gamora's Strength might be a problem for Erik.

Her sword didn't really pierce the Abelisk's skin though. She embedded her sword in the cut on it's neck (that Peter showed her) to cut through the Abilisk.

Gamora

Not really, Thanos made Gamora and Nebula fight everyday, and whoever lost would have a part of their body replaced by mechanics. And Gamora never lost.

Killmonger.

@holyy: That’s not any better. In the end, Gamora’s only feats are beating Nebula, who’s only feats are losing to Gamora and disarming her once.

Gamora stomps

Eric wins. Gamora might be stronger, but that doesn't matter much in a sword fight. Eric's faster and more skilled, he's gonna slice her up.

Killmonger stomps

Gamora stomps the difference in strength is absurd lol, if they clash into something like this, Gamora is gonna kill Killmonger with his own weapon.

stats for gamora is to high

I can honestly see it be argued legitimately either way, so I’m not understanding all the “stomps” comments. Both have their own advantages, and the gap in any of them honestly isn’t wide enough to constitute a stomp.

By feats, Gamora, I guess. But I'm still not sure how I gauge anyone in the GotG.
