How? Thor had to shove Meow Meow in Destroyer's face hole. Tony doesn't have any magical weaponry. Destroyer will beam spam, and tax Tony's nanites until Tony himself gets BBQ'd.

@rockette: The Destroyer's beam wasn't as powerful as this blast that Tony tanked.

Nor was it as powerful as some of the other things Tony tanked like a meteor and Cull Obsidian's hammerstrike. Tony also has his shields which he can form to tank blasts.

As for the Destroyer's durability all it has is tanking a couple Mjolnir throws. That's not going to be enough to endure Tony's damage output indefinitely. This suit managed to hurt Thanos.

The fact that Thor used Mjolnir to redirect the Destroyer's beam doesn't mean that he had to. He may have just believed that was the easiest way to deal with it. For all we know he could have destroyed the armor with a lightning blast.

Destroyer was not even that powerful. It gets constantly hyped because of its power level in the comics which does not matter much in the movies.

I seem to remember Thor destroying it after one blow, and even the freaking Warriors Three tanked the explosion it made.
