Jemma received some SHIELD training, right? Coulson was comfortable with her going into the field (combat situations) in Season 2, when they were attacking the HYDRA base. And Malick + Ward commented on her vicious survival instinct after the Maveth incident.

I think she has what it takes to beat Claire.

I guess Claire is more suited to win on paper, but Jemma has gone through some real ish with S.H.I.E.L.D. I can't recall her fighting someone and winning under her own ability though, so I'll say Temple.

@angeljax: She did kick Sunil Bakshi to the ground. Bakshi had a military background.

Claire. Jemma didn't show anything in CQC as far as I remember. She started to train with a gun after a couple of seasons so she probably started training to protect herself but Claire was Colleen's fastest learning student and was at least capable of fighting a military trained mercenary after months of training.

Simmons did take a tentacle off that giant alien tentacle monster thing that dragged her into the water in Maveth...took out Bakshi. I think I'm with @Angeljax. On papern Clairen but I just don't think Simmons will let herself lose.

Also, Simmons has made her bones already. Them hands are bloody. Claire is less "if I ever see you again...I'll kill you" and more "this shit again?"

Even back in Daredevil, Claire was giving Matt tips on how to torture the Russian guy (I think it was one of the Russians?). She can be brutal when she needs to be

@arcus1: I meant that scene when referencing that she hasn't beaten anyone without any external help. She had some tazer bobby pin but still struggled. So, Jemma has a lot of grit and is very resourceful when need be, but I don't see her winning fights in CQC.

@arcus1: Yeah but has she ever disintegrated a guy, looked the most lethal man on the planet in the eye and threatened his life, or got into an underwater fight with an alien tentacle monster on another planet?
