The MCU's Avenging Agents

are about to face the tasks of their lives. Together, Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton will run a gauntlet of events taking place in Captain America: Civil War. Their abilities will be tested like never before as they run this trial that could make their success amazing or break them in the process.

Round 1: Warm-Up in Lagos

"It's also bulletproof, which means private security, which means more guns, which means more headaches for somebody, probably us..."

Stipulations:

The Avengers got a hit that Crossbones is going to be in Lagos. They send Romanoff his way, and she asks Barton for help. They station themselves to look out for Rumlow's hit. Barton is on the same roof that Sam was (in the picture). Natasha is on the ground, waiting for Clint's signal. They get all other knowledge Natasha had going into Lagos as per the movie.

EDIT: Romanoff and Barton get access to the FitzSimmons team from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on comms. The science superteam is located at the most recent SHIELD HQ.

Agents Win Conditions

  1. Prove that agents can spot and deduce that the truck is heading towards the target.
  2. Prove that agents can intercept the target, defeat Crossbone's mercenaries, and secure the bioweapon.

Should they fail stipulation two (securing bioweapon), they must then race to intercept Rumlow's men like Widow and Sam did while also defeating fully-geared Crossbones.

Defender Win Conditions:

  1. Prove that team cannot detect truck.
  2. Prove that team cannot get past Crossbone's mercenaries nor secure the bioweapon.
  3. Prove that team cannot defeat Crossbones while guessing which way Crossbone's men went to secure the bioweapon.

Rules

  • Standard morals, serious, in-character for agents
  • Serious, secure-bioweapon/kill opposition mindset for Rumlow & Co

Round 2: Stairwell Fight & Panther Chase

No Caption Provided
"I retire for what, like 5 minutes? And it all goes to shit..."

Stipulations:

Natasha Romanoff is at large. The CIA gets a hit that she's in Bucharest, which Sharon shares with Clint before going off to help man the STRIKE team. Little does she know, Hawkeye and Black Widow are about to be attacked by that same team. Clint arrives with only minutes to spare, much like Cap did. Should they succeed, a different beast entirely awaits them.

Agent Win Conditions:

  1. Prove that team survives the initial encounter with the CIA STRIKE agents.
  2. Prove that team can get away from the building on to the rooftop Bucky landed to.
  3. Prove that Widow can survive a brief encounter with Black Panther (about 50 seconds is what Bucky did).
  4. Prove that Clint must take care of the intervening helicopter.
  5. Prove that Widow must run from Panther while Clint tries to save her until the CIA intervenes. This scene takes about 2min30sec.

Defender Win Conditions:

  1. Prove that team cannot survive the counter with the CIA STRIKE agents.
  2. Prove that Widow can't last those 50 seconds against Panther.
  3. Prove that Widow cannot run from Panther, even with Clint on his tail, for those 2 minutes 30 seconds.

Rules

  • Widow is restricted to the basic version of the Widow's Bite, her Fibre Wire, her Glocks 26 and Widow's Line, Hawkeye is fully equipped
  • Standard morals, serious, in-character for agents
  • Serious, in-character, capture/kill Widow mindset for agents and Panther

Round 3: Escape of Bucky

"We're in position."

Stipulations:

Bucky is on the move. Clint and Natasha with assistance from Sharon Carter are sent to dispatch him. Clint is armed with a baton that he picked up from fallen CIA agents. They will start from when Tony engaged Bucky (so no Tony for this scenario), this time, T'Challa is never going to arrive and save them.

Agent Win Condition:

  • Prove that the team can subdue Bucky.

Defender Win Condition:

  • Prove that the team gets beat by Bucky.

Rules

  • Standard morals, serious, in-character for agents
  • Everyone is unarmed besides Clint, who is armed with one of the batons (assume it has a standard taser function)
  • Bucky is in his HYDRA Brainwashed state

Round 4: The Airport Battle

"We haven't met yet. I'm Clint."

Stipulations:

It's a full-on Civil War between the MCU's Avengers (minus the high-tiers). Both sides have a lot on the line waiting for them, and a lot of fighting to do before they can get there. Amidst the confusion, Clint Barton finds himself once again at odds against the Black Panther, except this time War Machine is rushing in on him too. Widow finds herself having to fight the one and only Peter Parker, the Spider-Man, and must incapacitate him to move on.

Agent Win Conditions:

  1. Prove that Hawkeye can fight against Panther for roughly 2 minutes all while evading War Machine's attempts at a dive.
  2. Prove that Widow can find a way to incapacitate Spider-Man while fully geared amidst the chaos that is the Airport Fight.
  3. After this, it must be proved that they can then evade the chasing Panther and fly away in the Quinjet.

Defender Win Conditions:

  1. Prove that Hawkeye doesn't last in the fight against Panther.
  2. Prove that Widow cannot incapacitate Spider-Man.
  3. Prove that Panther can catch up to the duo.

Rules

  • Standard morals, serious, in-character for agents.
  • "Must get Bucky" mindset for Panther.
  • "Must impress Mr. Stark" mindset for Spidey.

Round 5: Agents vs Iron Man

"Are you incapable of letting go of your ego for one goddamn second?"

Stipulations:

The agents have made it this far. Whilst on the Quinjet, Natasha picks up one of her heavy firearms and they gear up with her partner to enter the HYDRA facility and eliminate the Winter Soldiers once and for all. To their surprise, they find Tony there instead, right next to the Soldiers' unconscious bodies. Having just found out that the person they protected for this long is responsible for his parents' death, Tony is not in the place to reason with Natasha, who had just dropped her weapon in front of him. Now they have to face the culmination of a movie's worth of distrust, paranoia, and self-guilt bottled up into the iron-suited package that is Iron Man. For this fight

Agent Win Condition:

  • Prove that the agents with all their standard gear can take down Iron Man.

Defender Win Condition:

  • Prove that the agents get taken down by Civil War Iron man.

Rules

  • Standard morals, serious, in-character for agents.
  • "Must kill Bucky at all odds" mindset for Iron Man.
  • The begin 20 ft. away from each other

Gear (unless otherwise specified)

  • Widow's Gear:
    • Tonfa
    • Dual Glocks 26
    • Fiber Wire
    • Widow's Bite
      • Taser Disks
      • Electrical Discharges
      • Wrist Discharge
    • Flashbangs

Round 1: Warm-Up In Lagos

I only have two posts and I need to keep them relatively short, so let me just go ahead and dive right in. Your first objective is spotting the truck. Let's look at the scene in question:

Loading Video...

It's at around 1:11 that Cap spots the truck, not Sam. Now obviously as a field agent and having much more experience than Sam, Clint is far more likely to be able to spot the truck, but I'll leave that up to you. As of right now, I'm thinking he probably spots it but after Cap. This really isn't a big point either way, but it's also important to note that Clint, unlike Sam, would have no way to tell if the garbage truck was "loaded for max weight" (1:42). So even though he might spot the truck like Cap did, note that Steve didn't immediately tell the team to move. Steve awaited for confirmation, something Clint wouldn't have. Should you prove Clint can spot and deduce that the truck is a battering ram, you have your next trial.

Loading Video...

The first issue I see for you is getting there fast enough. Sam flew Cap to the building in question while Wanda flew herself. That's probably going to be your biggest issue, and that includes the combat. Even Natasha didn't get to the scene until well after Crossbones was already escaping with the bioweapon. Clint could try sniping but even for him... I mean Nat logically took at least a minute, probably more, to get there from where she and Wanda were in the cafe to the building on a motorcycle. That's probably near a mile. Even if you can prove that Clint can shoot that far (I don't remember that much distance), he'd have to shoot down way too many guys.

So you've got to get there. Then you have to fight through the guys outside. Cap initially took out 4 of Rumlow's guys, and said that he makes 7 more hostiles. So Widow and Hawkeye have to fight 11 of Rumlow's guys, something I have no doubts you can prove they can do, but then the next issue comes in where yet again, Sam does something I'm not sure Clint can. He tells Cap that Rumlow's on the third floor (0:42). Your team can't even pinpoint what floor they're on; they can't fly like Redwing and don't know what specifically it is that Rumlow is after. But even, let me highlight the challenges the agents face against the fodder:

  • First are foremost are the four guys Cap took on. The first guy is watching the building making sure nothing enters, but the other three immediately turn around. The second guy, while not smart for it, seems to actually be able to aim worth a damn. He shoots Cap accurately enough that without the shield, he'd have been done for. The third guy comes rushing in, presumably to shoot, but gets thrown off. The fourth guy is blitzed.
  • There are two guys on the roof that react to and accurately shoot an incoming Falcon. I'm not going to say they're accuracy gods since Sam was moving kind of predictable, but he was also a smaller target than usual (shield mode) and moving decently fast. The third guy he shoots he simply outreacts, something I don't doubt your agents can do.
  • The last guy on the ground shoots at Wanda, and again it would have killed her if it wasn't for her shields. Those bullets were going to spray right into her chest.

At this point it's easy to realize that although these guys aren't the best in terms of CQC (they actually haven't attempted it yet) they're at least competent gunmen in close quarters. Clint and Natasha have nothing to protect them, unlike Cap/Falcon/Wanda.

We take a break from the outside (there's still more guys, though) to see Cap go in the building. Remember, however, that you don't know what floor Rumlow and his other men are so you'll have to argue for that as well. Anyways, Cap has a way to get directly on to the third floor. Should you figure that out, the fighting resumes at 0:50. Cap takes out another three guys while Crossbones takes the bioweapon. Let's look at what happened:

  • Cap jumps through the window, immediately taking a guy down. He takes the mask off, the guy starts choking up, and is kicked away. Cut to Crossbones taking the weapon.
  • We see Steve again taking cover while under fire. This situation might not end up applying to whoever goes in since they'll likely be moving around more than Cap, but it's worth noting he was forced into that position to begin with.
  • Another guy quickly comes in and also shoots at Cap in a would-kill-an-agent type of way. Cap doesn't even bother, he just abuses his physicals to get it over with.

However this is when the real test begins. Cap's a super soldier and has a higher tolerance to that kind of stuff, but there's poisonous gas in the room that required trained soldiers to wear gas masks. I'm pretty sure Nat and Clint didn't pack any for this particular scenario. This should be interesting.

So yea... then there's four more guys outside that you have to take care of. Sam used explosives, I guess Clint could as well, but the above scenario details are already pretty insane for anyone to try and take on. There's also the matter of getting the gas out, like Wanda did. I guess you could leave one of the agents behind to hack the vents (something like that) or argue that you went in stealth so the gas will stay in the building. Either way, it's a factor as well.

Depending on how you argue the gas, that's how Crossbones notices that Cap is in the building. As Crossbones and crew are heading towards their exfil location, Widow is the one that intercepts. Now, up to this point, you have to argue this scenario in a way that allows both of your agents to:

  • Identify the truck
  • Get to the building
  • Clear the soldiers outside
  • Get inside the building
  • Clear the guys inside
  • Survive the poisonous gas

Now we've arrived at Crossbone's exfil. Natasha took out most of the guys then basically got treated like a child by Crossbones in CQC. Sure, she didn't have gear, but it happened. Crossbones gets away and, if any of your agents are still in the building, they're going to be absolutely bombarded by the grenade launcher.

Now this is when you have, by far, the biggest pickle to face. Crossbones and his crew have made it to the market area of Lagos. Not only do you have to actually spot the fact that four of the guys split up into groups of two, Crossbones himself split up as well. This means that your two agents have to find the bioweapon amongst three different groups while having absolutely no idea where to look. Things get even more complicated when you probably have to face off against Crossbones himself.

Loading Video...

Note that, in H2H, Widow actually struggles to put the two mercenaries that she took. Now sure, she has gear this time, but what can she do in a situation where the guy threatens to drop the bioweapon? Clint is either too far to help, can't because of crowd, or is dealing with Crossbones. Vice versa, Clint probably ends up facing a similar situation and Nat can't help him. Something similar likely happens with the guys that Sam took down, except he had gear.

Then we have the potential outcome that one of your agents is facing Crossbones. Note that Cap gets distracted by an explosive, something that would outright kill your agents, and then gets punched hard, twice. Neither Nat nor Clint come anywhere close to Cap's physicals and hits like those will kill them. Even if they can defeat, unless he's outright dead, you then have to deal with the suicide vest.

Conclusion

Your agents have their work cut out for them pretty hard. To quickly summarize, since I've gone pretty lengthy already:

  • First you have to prove Clint can spot the truck while also knowing it's a battering ram.
  • Next you have to prove that you can make it to the building before Crossbones takes the bioweapon, something Natasha already failed to do while on a motorcycle (Crossbones took the bioweapon well before she intercepted his exfil).
  • Should you prove you make it to the building, you have to face the onslaught of guards in the way alongside having to prove you can figure out that Rumlow is on the third floor.
  • Then you have to prove you can intercept the exfil (this is when Widow came in during the movie) and not get taken down there. If you prove you can intercept and not get taken down you could win here. You could also be slowed down by the grenade launchers, thrown off by Crossbones, get shot, or a lot of other things.
  • Lastly, should Crossbones and crew get away, you have to split your two agents up between three possible groups that are carrying the bioweapon.

I have a set of pre-counters in mind, but in order to keep this short, I'll stop here.

@supremegeneration:

Okay, I'll probably post tommorow night, or Monday tops. Just wanna say that there's going to be 2 separate posts - counting as one. First one will be a short introduction to the characters/their abilities and a brief viweing of a couple of showings for each. Second one will be the actual R1 Scenario.

I'll also ask for everyone to not post in between the posts (for like 5 minutes that'll take me to copy and paste the second one here), just to make it easy to go through both of them in the end.

Okay, time to revive this. Huge apologies to Supreme and the voters for the wait. This first post will be a quick introduction to the duo, a couple of feats demonstrating their overall efficiency on the field and just an all around opener people might or might not read on its whole. Anyways, Avengers Theme for the atmosphere.

STRIKE Team Delta

"Just like Budapest all over again!"

Biography

While not much is known about his early life yet, Clint Barton was born in 1971. By his teenage years, he had met his wife, whom she married and made a family with. A little later, he was targeted and handpicked by Nick Fury, Director of SHIELD, due to his special talent and combat abilities, to partake in the organisation as a top operative. After years of training, he was sent on a mission to assassinate Natasha Romanoff, a.k.a the Black Widow, as she had gotten on SHIELD's radar after her growing threat to the global security. Barton neglected the orders and instead took over Romanoff to work as a SHIELD agent. Eventually, the two formed a legendary team inside SHIELD entitled 'Strike Team Delta'. Clint was one of the first choices to be a founder of the Avengers, the Initiative Fury was working on in order to gather the best they could find, so they could defend the planet against future threats. Alongside Captain America, the Black Widow, Thor, the Hulk and Iron Man, Hawkeye has assisted into protecting the earth against various forces, such as Loki and Ultron. During the clash of the Avengers, Barton was pit to fight against Stark's team alongside Captain America. After been arested for crimes against the Government, he was set free by Rogers, and returned to official retirement back on his secret farm, where his wife and children have been safely living, at least to this point.

Natasha Romanoff is the world's single best espionage expert and a lethal assasin trained since childhood in the Red Room program. Some time after her graduation, she got into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s radar for her abilities and had to be taken out. Agent Barton decided to give her a chance in the organisation instead, and after recruitment she became one of the most accomplished agents there are. Having already evaluated Tony Stark for the Initiative, the Black Widow was asked to partake in Director Fury's plan herself, to assemble the Avengers, a group of the greatest being on earth to fight against world threats, such as Ultron or Loki's army. Two years later, she faught alongside Captain America to take down the remnants of HYDRA and the Winter Soldier, an assasin she had encountered before in the past. At last, Natasha participated in the 'Civil War' between the Avengers on Stark's side, though at the end she betrayed him and let Rogers and Barnes escape the Airport, and get to safety. Upon Thanos' arrival on Earth, she fought the Black Order and attemtped to stop Thanos himself alongside her teammates, but couldn't prevent the apocalyptic event of the Snap. She was spared by Thanos, belonging in the lucky half of the planet's population.

Today, these Avengers will take on the events that took place during the Avengers' Civil War and will have to walk out alive. They are considered by many to be the "lightweights" of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but in truth, they are very formidable, both in combat and outside of it. It's their highily versatile skillsets that allow them to stand in the same room as Thor and the Hulk and be relevant, and the fact that they earned their place on top of the World without any real advantages, only like Tony, is why they've also earned a soft spot in my eyes.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Personnel Files: Hawkeye (left) and Black Widow (right)

These files are a good introduction to each character's training and abilities. As top field specialists in SHIELD, both Barton and Romanoff have recieved extensive training in espionage, marksmanship, stealth, piloting and hand to hand combat. Hawkeye is stated by a highily credible source to be the best living marksman on the planet and the categories of espionage, something Widow excells at, are listed.

When the Avengers fought Klaue's mercenaries in the Salvage Yard, Clint took out several of them from a good distance away while dealing with gunfire, showing excellent accuracy with his conventional arrows. At the end of the fight, he finishes the remaining ones off with a Pulse Arrow, a speciailsed Trick Arrow that releases a powerful pulse of energy at 360 degrees, instantly taking out the entire room.

Showings

As mentioned before, Natasha excells in the field of espionage, as the epitome of a World-Class Assassin. When she had encountered Sofia, a woman trained her entire life to eliminate her and become the next Black Widow, she tracked her down in what turned out to be a main base of the 10 Rings terrorist organisation;

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4
The Avengers: Black Widow Strikes III (2012)

She infiltrates the base traveling through the air using her Line, breaks into the building, gets through the security systems until she's caught in the middle of a small army of automatic gunfire machinery with sensors. She takes them out but not before they alert security. During that time she still manages to get the files asked for by SHIELD.

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

When the Avengers fought what they thought was the last HYDRA Base remaining, Widow showed decent part of her skillset taking out hordes of the Organisation's troops. Now I can't mention enough just how well trained and dangerous HYDRA's agents are, and Tony noted upon entering the Base that this one was more advanced than any other they'd encountered before. Natasha takes them out like paper cards, throwing grenades to take out the vehicles, engaging small groups of them in hand to hand combat, taking them out with minor effort by seemingly snapping their necks and gunning down others at a distance.

Teamwork

Now, since every Round in this gauntlet is Clint and Natasha working together one way or another, esspecially in Rounds where they're replacing others duos of characters, I thought I'd dedicate a section to briefly note their teamwork and experience working together on the field.

The Avengers (2012)
The Avengers (2012)

As mentioned in their files provided too, the 2 have been working together for years as one of SHIELD's most elite international operational groups. They've successfully gone on tactical missions in Hungary, Ivory Coast and various other parts of the Globe, while also having partaken in some of the most dangerous Battles in history side by side, the Battle of New York, the Battle of Sokovia and the Clash of the Avengers. More or less, the duo is well aware of each others' abilities and have loads of experience covering each other's backs.

@supremegeneration yo, next part (with the actual debate and arguments) will be up soon enough/

Round 1: Warm-Up in Lagos (Strategy / Counters 1.0)

Twice during the Gauntlet, a fellow S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent will provide assistance to the duo, so I'll give a minor introduction for them.

  • Additional Help for this Round: Leopold Fitz and Jemma Simmons (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S1-5)
"They're SHIELD's Best and Brightest."

Agents Fitz and Simmons, otherwise known as FitzSimmons, are two of SHIELD's finest scientists, specialising in engineering and biochemistry respectively. They were initally recruited for the field by Agent Coulson for his own Elite Team, partaking in missions worldwide ever since 2013. By Coulson's own word, "they basically share the same mind", an unmatched combination of genius level intellect. Some of their greatest accomplishments to date including the invention of I.C.E.R. weapons, D.W.A.R.F. scanners, Virtual Reality and perfection of the Framework as well as the discovery of Time Travel with the aid of a speciliased space monolith.

Today, Leo and Jemma are going to provide support through communications to Hawkeye and Black Widow. In particular, their support will mainly consist of Satellite support, usable to perform the tasks Falcon's Redwing provided during the mission at Lagos in the movie. As @supremegeneration himself is aware, they've provided satellite support for SHIELD numerous times in the past, but if it's needed I'll elaborate on that and provide the instances - either way, you get the idea.

Now, I'm gonna break everything down into categories and use my gameplan/counter Supreme's points at the same time.

1. Identifying the Truck and Arriving on Time

The STRIKE Team has a lead on Crossbones approaching this general location, so it stands to reason Clint will be looking out from the roof for anything suspicious. Now, a Garbadge Truck passing by during full traffic in the middle of the day, that's a teeny bit suspicious. Clint himself, as you mentioned, is one of SHIELD's finest specialists and a trained spy and "ninja-ish", likely more of a tactical genius than Cap himself, some impressive showings of his tactical ability and environmental awareness include tricking Quicksilver(Avengers: Age of Ultron), Iron Man(Captain America: Civil War) - worth noting Tony Stark is a top notch tactical genius on a world scale, and infiltrating secure locations like the Avengers' Helicarrier(The Avengers) and the New Avengers Facility to free Wanda(Captain America: Civil War) - again worth noting Vision's artifical, genius level intellect. Presumably, Clint is going to pinpoint the truck the moment he sees it driving through the street. And that is when FitzSimmons are given the signal to scan.

Satellites provide quite the diverse amount of data, suitable for this mission. Photographs from the inside of the truck will ensure the driver being armed and the weight of the truck will be measured and calculated by Fitz or Jemma - provided this info, you'll notice in the video Supreme posted that Natasha is the person on the Team to immediately tell it is a Battering Ram, so the duo will proceed as called for. Clint can navigate through the roofs using his Grappling Hook Arrow(The Avengers), while Natasha will approach on her motorcycle like she did in the movie, only this time she'll go after Rumlow on the front. This way, they're covering 360 degrees of the building in question, with Clint "hawking" on the roof of the building and Natasha working on the ground.

I think the point was that Natasha was covering the other side of the building as the last line of defence while Steve, Sam and Wanda directly went after Rumlow, so she was there on time, she was just behind the building so they could cover the entire ground. I don't think Clint's mobility tools can actually replicate Falcon's Exo-Suit, but they're enough - the Avengers didn't get there on time to stop Crossbones from entering the building anyway.

2. Clearing the first wave of Mercenaries

So, this is the first combat situation the duo has.

There are two guys on the roof that react to and accurately shoot an incoming Falcon. I'm not going to say they're accuracy gods since Sam was moving kind of predictable, but he was also a smaller target than usual (shield mode) and moving decently fast. The third guy he shoots he simply outreacts, something I don't doubt your agents can do.

The moment Clint arrives on the building, he's going to clear the roof quick, silently and efficiently like he did with the SHIELD Agents guarding the iridium Facility here:

The Avengers (2012)
The Avengers (2012)

Simultaneously, Natasha approaches on the ground and takes down the 5 guys Cap and Wanda took out, as she demonstrated in the movie, she can go through them like nothing with a combination of environmental usage, her Widow's Bite and hand to hand combat. This time it could be even easier given she's fully armed and capable of using more firepower (like grenades, guns and a fully upgraded version of the Bite) than before, like the way she handled those HYDRA Soldiers in the sequence I provided in the opener.

The last guy on the ground shoots at Wanda, and again it would have killed her if it wasn't for her shields. Those bullets were going to spray right into her chest.

I don't think the Scarlet Witch would take someone like that dude seriously anyway. These mercs will not outdraw Widow regardless. She has actually outdrawn the Winter Soldier's triggering arm herself in the past, throwing a taser disk to succesfully stun him after he had already drawn his riffle and aimed right at her (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), so she shouldn't be of danger with that lone merc.

Additionally, once Clint disposes of the 2 mercs on the roof, he can help from up there to dismantle the rest of the guys on the ground. At that point in time, FitzSimmons will have scanned the building and let the team know Rumlow's on the third floor.

3. Entering the Building, Taking down Crossbones and Retrieving the Weapon

Things might be simpler than they look in this part of the mission.

So yea... then there's four more guys outside that you have to take care of.

I think it'd be IC (and suitable) that Clint will stay on the roof acting as a Sniper and watching over the whole building, while Natasha enters the building just like Cap did with Wanda's aid, using her Line(The Avengers Prelude: Black Widow Strikes VIII). Having seen the gas spreading inside the building, and all the mercs being masked to protect themselves from its effects, she'll equip herself with a mask and enter.

The aforementioned sequence is this one, evidence that Natasha can take out the men guarding the floor incredibly easily - the guys she took on here are just as many or more than the ones Cap fought inside. Additionally, her fighting style is suitable to taking out the opposition as fast as possible. Being a trained assassin, she won't hold back like Rogers and she will be fast and precise, making shots with weapons that can prove even fatal - Steve is more suited for drawn out fights. Due to that, I think she has a shot at catching up with Crossbones and securing the payload before they can make it out.

If she does, she's more than capable of taking out Rumlow with all her toys. Yeah, he did handle her pretty easily in the movie, but keep in mind the very specialised circumstances.

All in all, I imagine a fight like that could go like how 616 Black Widow vs Crossbones went here, with Natasha outmaneuvering, dodging him out and taking him down with precise armed hits, stabs/garotting/slashes. This way the mission succesfully ends here.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This next section will explain how it will go down in the unfortunate insident that Widow doesn't make it to Crossbones in time and doesn't secure the biological weapon. This mean that, like in the movie, Rumlow will be headed out and preparing himself to leave.

4. Retrieving the Weapon and Taking Down Crossbones

The moment he gets out, Clint will be there, watching him like a lurker from the roof. Once he takes notice, he can very easily snipe him and eliminate the whole group of mercs (granted without using any amazingly powerful pulse, explosives or taser arrows that could trigger the weapon) - imagine something in the sense of what he was going to do to an unworthy Thor here (Thor), or what he did to Klaue's mercenaries abroad his ship, a sequence I provided in my opener. Keep in mind, Rumlow won't be expecting it either, since he has no sign any Avenger is after him without Wanda getting the gas out of the building.

Once again, the mission ends successfully right here. Of course that wouldn't be the end of the world if Rumlow still got away, the duo still has the tools to replicate Falcon, Natasha's and Steve's performance in the last part of the mission if need be, but I won't get to it because I don't think it's called for. If Supreme proves it is, I'll make sure to elaborate on this final part of his post.

Summary (Tldr;)

FitzSimmons will provide the Satellite support required to locate Rumlow, scanning the truck and later the building. The team gets in, eliminates the enemy force, retrieves the weapon and gets out. If that fails, Rumlow's not escaping Hawkeye, the last line of defence outside, Clint will be having access to 360 degrees view of the field. Quick and fast, the job is done, no casualties and Lagos is safe.

@supremegeneration Finally done, very excited for this. Good luck on your rebuttals!
