@rebake: Well I'm not making a case for T'Challa I'm just responding to what you said about Hulkbuster being underrated; I think people think much less highly of it after Infinity War. Regardless of the pilot I think just the fact that a gang of Outriders was physically overwhelming it and damaging it made it seem less impressive than in AoU.
I understand what you mean, but it really shouldn't make Hulkbuster appear street level regardless. Durability has always been a case against Hulkbuster truly being Hulk's equal. But for this thread, some people just aren't thinking here. These aren't normal humans jumping on and knocking down the Hulkbuster, but aliens with superhuman stats. A few are too much for a supersoldier once they land a hit.
For those who think Hulkbusters is weak enough to lose to Black Panther:
The Outriders were fairly strong fodder, being able to pass through a barrier that could stop an entire alien transport and tear Cap's bulletproof suit. The Hulkbuster took mostly damage to the helmet and out layer, but wasn't really close to being taken out, but it seemed like Banner's panicking played a part in why it wasn't recovering quickly. It's been known Hulkbuster's material is mostly standard Iron Man suit materials (even the same colors), so it has to be careful about taking damage, and there's a reason for Veronica. Scratching it should not come as a surprise, but getting through all the layers of armor is the issue. BP can scratch the first layer, but the Hulkbuster is simply too thick for BP to take down, and its blunt damage resistance is Hulk level, so that shockwave (which isn't very concentrated), shouldn't do much more than unbalance it.
