Maw was impressive, but he dies the second Hela pulls out the skyscraper size knives she used against Surtur.
Physically, Hela was far stronger than Thor too, so I don't think he's restraining her either.
How is hela winning when maw can basically destroy her with her swords?
What I was thinking. Maw uses Helas power against her.
Hela wins easily.
He can launch large and small sharp debris at her, but I'm certain none of those things can put her down permanently. He could redirect her blades at her, but she'll just heal from that.
Meanwhile, Maw has like human-level durability. One Asgardian blade through him will be fatal.
@atmexle: Think his durability is a bit higher than human. I'd rate KT as maybe peak human or low superhuman, although I can't recall any specific instance of durability.
@torikowontdie: Yeah, I initially also assumed his durability to be higher than a human.. but I too couldn't recall any durability feats, so I just left it at human level.
@indomitableregal: Unless you get tagged why is that necessary?
@hyiena: You just answered your own question.
Hela pretty easily. People saying Maw can just throw her blades back at her forget that she was already stabbed and it did nothing. Not to mention he sheer volume and speed at which she can throw them and overwhelm Maw. This is the same dude that chose to block his own redirected projectiles and got scratched upside the head.

Maw wasn't all that. Even if he lands hits they'd have to be comparable to colossal Surtur damage to seal the deal.
I think the most obvious thing that everyone is missing here is that Hela could easily just pierce the hull of the ship and Maw would get sucked out into space, exactly like he did in the movie. Even if Hela were to fly out as well, the fact that Thor survived in the vacuum of space means that she could as well, since she's way more durable than her lil bro. Maw was impressive, but he's outclassed here. Hela curbstomps Squidward.
Hela would ROFLstomp Base Thanos let alone a weakling like Maw.
She is someone who was fighting Surtur Prime. Even Base Thanos, the supposedly "Most powerful being in the MCU" is like an ant compared to Surtur Prime.
