Batroc wins, but honestly I have him higher than basically anyone lol. I don't see May replicating Batroc's showing against Cap.

May. For a few reasons.

1) Batroc is good but his feat against Cap is kinda overrated IMO (though not nearly as much as it was a few years back).

2) May is one of the best H2H combatants in the MCU so far and her H2H skills are on par with fighters like Captain America and Daredevil.

3) You nerfed Batroc severely by not allowing him to leap.

May wins. She's proven to be a top tier fighter in the MCU on multiple occasions. Batroc literally had 1 feat.

Most impressive thing about Batroc is his insane durability, how he took that beating from Steve and kept getting up I don't know.

I think May would win though. Hope Batroc appears in one of the shows one day.

Why can't he leap?

@dstreet45: That's some very impressive stuff, and a lot of very cool choreography, too. I'm definitely thinking May wins, based on that and the several other clips of her fight scenes I've seen. Batroc might have done well against Cap, for a non-superhuman, but he's only got that one fight to support his argument, and I think May can at least match him in unarmed combat skills. He was a tough guy, obviously, taking hits from Cap without breaking, so it'd be a good fight.

Batroc stomps, the physical gap is way too much

There's only so much skill can do and the gap between Melida's skill and Batroc's is no where near as big as the physical gap

Here May lasts just as long as Batroc did against Captain America against soldiers who were stronger than Cap as well as being adequately skilled.

@paytience: @angeljax: Well then......going with May for the majority. She seems like she'll attempt to break Batroc down. Batroc, like May in that centipede fight, were going for strictly power shots since both their opponents are enhanced. But when we see May fighting the normal folk she breaks them down 'till the ko. I feel like Batroc would do the same method if he showed feats against normal guards, hopefully we see him again. Anyways, going with May.

I'm only halfway through S1 of AoS and May already has more than enough feats and statements to suggest she would stomp Batroc.

@angeljax: I just finished the episode where they faught the Centipede soldiers. What feats do they have to suggest they're physically stronger than Steve? If they get better ones moving on, don't tell me lol

One Soldier causally one-hands a shipping container and caused it to slide to the other end of the warehouse. That to me is a blatant superhuman feat, that I don't see Cap replicating. Then there's also the bulldozer feat for Mike, which yeah the guy ~says~ Cap did it, but it seems like a huge outlier for him.

May easily. Batroc is over wanked like hell. Cap spanked him once he put his sheild away

Yeah that was actually pretty great come to think of it, the container shouldn't weight notably less than Buck's helicopter, which is by far Steve's best strength feat and the guy did something better than keep it down from moving, he launched it away. I don't think the bulldozer feat was so great or an outlier for Cap, but yeah being a multitonner with 1 hand is up there and Mike stopped the container coming at full force.

The bulldozer was also raking into the ground so Mike had to also work against the drag. The bulldozer seemed to weigh more than a few tons. MCU Cap is pegged at about 1-2 tons.

I love the chemistry between the characters, each scene involving Ward with Fitz-Simmons in particular is pure gold for me.

The dialogue is fairly snappy and does the job perfectly.

From a combat and skillset standpoint, the show does a good job of portraying May/Ward on the Barton/Romanoff tier.

X-actly, and I absolutely love it when they're fighting together, just reminding me of Clint and Natasha.

I also enjoy the references to the Avengers lol and I love that we get to know more about how S.H.I.E.L.D. works all around, from the inside.

One of my favorite aspects about AoS is its world-building. It's really great at it. The show expands the methos and history of the MCU without feeling forced and the tie-ins are nearly seamless.

Tbh, I think AoS is the heart of the MCU in a way, dealing with things the movies can't cover due to runtime.

@anthp2000: @angeljax: On topic, I don't see how Batroc stands a chance of beating May. He'd be lucky to get more than 1-2 hits in, assuming that he doesn't have the drop on her like he did on Cap.

@the_magister: Looking back at the thread, OP has Melinda bloodlusted. So he stands even less of a chance. I don't see any situation in which Batroc wins.

Without spoiling too much, there are feats that he hasn't accomplished, but we also see a centipede user run shield evaluation course. There will be a direct comparison between them that should end the debate.

Batroc vs May? May should win. But if I was honestly looking at the fight, I would say Batroc in a prize fight. May in a street fight. May would clear fodder better...Batroc might do better in one on one combat.
