Superman has this, his super reactions and senses ontop of his superior physical capabilities make this an easy win.
@iragexcudder: tiny superman ? Or giant ?
@nwgzsjuwhm96y2: *gasp*
I don't know which would be scarier
@psychopinata: shrink discs would insta-kill Supes
Most on this thread don't think Ant-Man could win but I think its possible. The movie version of Superman isn't as quick as the comics version. I think Ant-Man could just shrink down and go right up superman's nose and punch the Man of Steel in the brain until he's unconscious.
Scott could just shrink the Kryptonian down and let the insects try and eat him. While Superman fights a billion ants, He could have the flying insects carry miniaturized air craft carriers over the last son of Krypton and drop them, and have them grow back to normal size before crashing on a 1 inch Man of Steel.
If Ant-Man goes subatomic what could Superman do to him?
seriously................

seriously, a literal ant vs the most invulnerable alien to date in movie media.....................
the right question would be what does antman actually do to harm him?
@kyrees: Hey remember War of the Worlds? It was the little creatures, the bacteria and microbes, that defeated the unstoppable aliens.
Haven't you heard the expression "small but powerful"?
@just_sayin: auperman has no feats ro suggest he could survive atom-compression. The movie made it pretty clear that organic/living things cant survive the process of shrinking without being sealed inside the proper protective casing. Superman would become a jelly-blob if Ant Man was morals off. There's also the whole "flying up his nose and bullet-punching his brain until he's KO'd" idea.

hey remember MOS ? superman has been here for years and is practically invulnerable at this point that no amount of small creatures is going to hurt him.
with that logic, you might as well say that normal superman is a threat to STTGL, that freaking universe sized robot.

Fixed. What a fine point you make good sir.
@scavengerfist: oh god the typos....thanks for fixing. Hah. Super hung over at the moment....
@kyrees: I'm not saying Superman is going to catch cold and die. I'm saying that Ant-Man has a power set that is very different than the type of battles that the Kryptonian fights. Ant-Man isn't going to stand and slug it out with him. He's going to out think him. He's going to play to his strengths. All the super strength in the world won't help Superman if Ant-Man shrinks his brain to the size of a pea and then punts it like its a football.

his power set to date has worked on humans. it's going to be quite questionable to work on MOS superman when even kryptonian tech hasn't even put some kind of injury to him and that's a gravity beam at this point.
@kyrees: MoS Kryptonian tech never showed anything similar to Pym Particles/Atom-compression. Just because Supes wasnt affected by any of their tech or regular human tech doesnt make him immune to MCU tech that makes Stark-tech look like childsplay.

except a gravity beam that practically doubles as a matter converter given on how that terraforming machine works says otherwise and supes flew through it. he had shown enough resistance on techs and energy that are unique on their own that you cannot establish a firm ground on pym particles working accordingly on him.
you might as well claim that pym particles can work on every movie alien out there like movie surfer and movie galactus.
@kyrees: Why wouldn't Pym particles work on him? Brainiac shrunk a Kryptonian city, so Kryptonians can shrink. If Pym particles shrink the distance between atoms and Superman, the Silver Surfer and Galactus are made of atoms, why wouldn't they work on them? I understand if science doesn't work on magic, but Superman isn't magical.

because that would a huge NLF especially if the universe it came works differently on the universe it copied from. at this point, movie pym particles hasn't shown anything to work on aliens or beings that are significantly more evolved than humans even more so on beings that has shown resistance to particles that are entirely unique on their own rules. yes, the gravity beam and pym particles are two different things but their contrasting nature sets enough precedence that an extremely evolved being can have resistances of varying degrees
so when has movie brainiac shrunk a movie krpytonian city ?
@kyrees: its absolutely not. A NLF. Unless you're trying to suggest MoS Superman ISNT made of Atoms then there's no reason to suggest that Atom-Compression wouldn't work on him.
@kyrees: is there any reason Pym Particles couldnt work on movie-Surfer? He was taken out by (frankly less impressive) human tech in the movie...
he was taken out by removing his surfboard on him. prior to all of that, he was phasing through matter as if it were water.
another thing is that this is a character that rewrites the laws of physics on everything he has passed through given the numerous occurences on the world when he appeared. how would something like pym particles worked accordingly to him as well ?
also, just because everything is made up of atoms does it mean it can work accordingly on everything. gravity is a fundamental force of nature and a concentrated gravity attack is supposedly meant to work on everything given that gravity is present everywhere. superman endured that.
@kyrees: and I'll admit it, that is a decent argument as to why it wouldnt work on Surfer. Got one for why it wouldn't work on Superman?
@huthimamwa: re-read my edit above
@kyrees: that still doesn't give any reason to suggest atom-compression wouldn't work on Superman. Being able to endure the world engine =/= being able to resist the spaces between your atoms becoming compressed.
Spite....again.
Spite. Superman stomps. He has super hearing, microscopic and telescopic vision. All too tools he needs to win this fight. Even if Ant-Man does somehow shrink him(which is unlikely seeing as Clark would most likely be in the air), it is not like he is going to suddenly lose all his powers. Those Ants are going to get burned to crisp.
