Marvel Quasar vs DC Captain Atom

Depends on the versions, standard Atom loses.

Shame he doesn't use any of it though. The traumatic memories of him getting wrecked by a weakened Gotham Girl still ring well.....

OT: Atom is a energy-based character going up against someone who is specifically focused around draining and manipulating the energies of others. He's VERY good at his job and has a bunch of bonkers showings in that regard. I can't see Atom winning.

Certainly a close fight, but Atom edges it out due to superior physicals, several means to break Quasar's constructs and overall better versatility. Quasar is the better energy manipulator of the two, however.

Post Flash Point Captain Atom was a big fish in a small point until characters started getting feats. His feats are pretty meh. Even the future version needed to implode to destroy mars and use that fall out to destroy the planetary shield holding him there. And that was supposed to be the strong dangerous version. The main time line version explosions are comparable to nukes. Demonstrating absorbing a several kiloton nuke to demonstrate he had control of his power.

Quasar stomps, by feat he's rearranged a solar system so i don't get the strength argument For Captain atom. And we know Quasar has greater Energy manipulation and Absorption,so he takes it.

That's not necessarily strength though given how he did it
