martian manhunter vs thor
takes place on the dark side of the moon.
morals are off for both
(no mind rape)
@cattlebattle: You what is about happen, the DC fans are about to come in here, and say mindrape, intangable, MM=Superman>thor. So we should all stop now and let this one die

Couldn't martian manhunter just phase through thor body turn his fist tangible inside thors body the second it makes contact with a organ? Or just rip his organs out that way? Just asking the question if martian manhunter can use his intangibility to phase through and hit thors organs or something like that.
Very tough battle. Both are incredibly versatile.
Hmmm.
Almost too tough to call.
Going to say Martian Manhunter after a very tough battle.

bumping this because I am honestly curious if martian manhunter can do this.
i am ot sure thor's physiology is same as a human, him being immortal and all@jashro44 said:

The alien is not overtly vulnerable to magic and is one of the most durable in all the realm. He can also change size, shapeshift, go intangible, in order to dodge the Odinson's mighty attacks.
Edit: there is also the stratagem of phasing a moon-rock inside the asgardians skull.

This is true there were scans posted of doom saying asgardians can survive 4 minutes without a heart but martian manhunter can do other things like strike thors brain in that manner.

Edited my last post, but alas not before thou quoted me.
The Martian could phase a moon-rock inside of the asgardians skull could he not?

Why do you think Thor has the advantage in the air? (just curious). MM can fly as well you know.
Too many plowers Thor doesn't have an answer for, Invisibility, Intangibility, Super-speed. In fact even without mindraping, J'onn can use his TP to always know what Thor is planning. Even if Thor somehow had a way to hit him, MM can change his density, he can even change his molecular composition. He can change his size to overpower him, increase his limb to out reach him, grow more limbs to outmaneuver him. And any damage he takes he can heal back almost instantly.

That is true i would never argue otherwise, but i still think Thor has this because just look at what his hammer has accomplished. He has shown the ability to absorb soul and i am pretty sure MM has soul. He has shown the ability to transmuate, does MM has defense against it? The hammer can seemingly teleport ppl across planetary scale, what happens if MM is teleporated to the sun.
I still think mindraping thor is going to be extermly difficult but since the battle doesnt allow it i'll refrain the discussion.
without his hammer and HIS (hammer induced stupidity) MM could win, but hammer just does bugger all!!

would changing density compensate for thor hammer??? i dont see how. Thor has superspeed too. Intangibility and invisibility might be negated by thor hammer and its magic. Without hammer i think MM would take this, with the hammer, hammer rocks!!
Thor hammer might actually beat thor in a fight if they ever were to fight each other ;)

Martian Manhunters intangibility will protect against Transmutation and I would also argu that it would likely be ineffective as MM can transmute himself at will. Thor could absorb his soul yes. But would he? In a one on one battle? Not likely. But, yes, he could. Teleportaion to the sun would defeat MM, but, This is a BFR, andwhile it hasn't been disallowed, I always see it as a poor way to win and a last ditch effort bordering on involuntary concession.
Martian Manhunters Intangibility and versatility are what can give him the win. He can go toe to toe with Thor physically or with energy while all the while greating 100 intangible, elastic, invisible limbs depositing a Hundred moon rocks inside Thors skull and heart/chest cavity or a create a hundred intangible, invisible eyes on long intangible, invisible limbs and blast heat beams inside of Thors skull and Inside his chest directly at his heart/lungs/spine/etc.

And why not? He can phase through the hammer, rending it's physical attacks useless, he can increase his density or change his molecular composition to become more resilient, who knows maybe he'll read thor's mind find the composition of Uru and make himself a nice exoskeleton. Thors level of speed has never been shown to be on par with Martian superspeed to my knowledge and this is the most important part. Even with microsecond reaction times, Thor would still be moving in slow motion if Martian Manhunter decides to use his full speed. With that kind of speed differents, Thor shouldn't even connect with a single blow/blast. He would have time to summon any godblasts or portals.
How does his hammer bypass invisibility or intangibility? Legitimately asking, not trying to claim it is impossible.
On to of what was already mentioned the Martian also thinks extremely fast and will run multiple battle scenarios through his mind in less than a micro second. While at the same time predicting Thor's every move via tp he would come up with a way to avoid or counter attack before Thor's attacks are even directed at him. He also has the physical stats and abilities to put down the thunder god if used correctly. I'll say the Martian Manhunter wins 8/10 times.
MMH, 10/10.
