MARIO vs SONIC ( READ FIRST )

NOTE: Both Mario & Sonic are in an all out battle against each other and they have access to all of there power items etc... WHO WINS???

I guess if Mario could keep a constant invincibility star then he would have a chance.  Other than that, as much as i'd hate to admit it... i'd have to say sonic. Great choice by the way...

Mario, He gets either a giant star, or a invincibility star, and it's all over.
 
Or he just throws all his moves he had in SSBB and giant flames Sonic to smithereens.

Mario Wins, Hyper Sonic can die from being squashed and Mega Mario and MegaStar Mario have that effect, Chaos control would't work as Sonic likes to play around with his enemies while Mario attacks right away and he can also stop time and teleport(stopwatch, Magic Window) Mario can stock 99 stars, steal enemies souls using Catch card and Catch Card SP, make the enemy fall in a deep slumber with Sleepy Sheep etc. 
 
but long story short: They're going to fight and Mario knowing how fast Sonic is uses Shooting Star which stops the enemy from moving and hits him repeatedly and as everyone knows Sonic has very low endurance(2hp basically since he wont be able to get his rings) thus dying in the second hit.

Would mario have the reaction time to use any of these powers before sonic speed blitzes him?

I know this subject is outdated, but it needs to be said, when it comes down to who is the superior video game character, that is subjective, purely opinionated and I don't understand why so many people are still up in arms about this on Youtube. pathetic really.

btw I don't think even Hyper Sonic would've been a universe buster if he were in the comics. were there any omnipotents in Archie? I know Scourge definitely wasn't one of them, he was only the evil version of Sonic who absorbed some power from the master emerald. I'd say Time eater was more powerful than anything that appeared in the comics, he could distort all of reality not just a universe.

Mario with a Super Star can still die when he falls off the screen.

I just want to point out that Sonic needs momentum to go uphill. I'm not saying he loses or anything, just pointing that out.

Not sure which version of Super Sonic, but either way I think the fact that he is invincible and can move at ridiculous speeds, and in that comic vs hyper knuckles destroyed dimensions or the universe or whatever happened (never read it, vaguely recall something stupid).

Also, just for the record even in the early games, hyper sonic can not actually drown.

I think it's Sonic, because the invincibility star is ineffective for Sonic, the Giant Mushroom won't last much longer and he has the Chaos Emeralds which is effective for any foe (normal or a boss). Mario just can't keep up

Mario ultimately wins because of one game. Paper Mario. Paper Mario is basically the paper equivalent of Deadpool durability wise.

Mario in base form would be to much for sonic to to handle, while yes sonic has survived against impossible odds, such as atmospheric reentry Mario easily topples those feats no t9 mention he's extremely smart and strong and Hus item now a days are a lot more useful against the blue blur.

I agree Mario is supersonic at some game, but that's some game, not mainstream ones. Also speedfeats is inconsistent and irrelevant for a charecter like Mario.

The game being mainstream or not doesn't effect feat, the M&L and series have proven to be canon or connected to the mainstream games. As for inconsistency, Sonic falls victim to that more than mario, Sonic is seen getting hit by things uñder the speed of light and sound.

The feats Mario pulled off in SmG has him massively over the speed of light.

Show me a video where Mario dodges an actual laser beam instead fo Star Wars laser.

Your ignoring Fact, the games called those attack "Lasers" and Mario was able to Dodge them, he's FTL.

TransSonic? That's massive Downplay. In SMG Mario has to travel through galaxies in under minutes and reacts to landing on planets while moving at those speeds, in SMG 2 Mario Fight GrandStar Bowser who was able to travel across the whole universe within a short time span, and Mario pilots Star ship Mario which can Cross a literal Cluster of Galaxies in under a Minute.

Sonic, easy win.
