You need a very high level of haki in order to damage Kaido. Unfortunately, Marineford Whitebeard's haki was greatly nerfed due to his sickness. He simply wouldn't have what it would take to put Kaido down.

Kaido was a fraud Dragon Akainu Shanks Mihawk all where stronger than the so called stronger creature but he beats old WB

Whitebeard didn't have acoc anymore, and couldn't even knock the executioners out with normal coc, his haki was abysmal at best. It's also worth noting that marco said he was much slower at well, so he might not even be capable of reacting to a bagua anymore.

Kaido would win, even if it was one vs one and MF whitebeared is in the best condition possible, he’d still lose.

Let’s put like this, if for example MF whitebeared would fight gear 5 Luffy in Onigashima instead of Kaido the battle would have ended much quicker.

Considering the fact that even pre devil fruit awakening Luffy (but still with Acoc and Acoa) would defeat MF whitebeared, assisted by the fact that his devil fruit is a hard counter to whitebeared’s fruit.
