From what we've seen, Marco has never regen from vaporization, which is what would happen to him if Natsu's serious. No way is Marco surviving Purgatory Dragon Flame. Also Natsu can eat Marco's flames and get the regen for himself.

Marco only appeared 1 Episode post time skip so far and it was all dialogue.

Marco gets sucked in then turns human in Natsu which kills Natsu. How can we tell? Because he most likely has future sight and this guarantees him a win.

Not that this feat has any bearing on the outcome of this fight but I'd recommend reading the manga as it's over 45 chapters ahead of the events in the anime. Additionally you wouldn't want to miss the context of the feats Marco is about to perform over the next batch of chapters.

That is if natsu goes for it right off the bat, marco isn’t gonna stand there and let himself get vaporized either way, plus his regenerate could help prevent that from happening.

If for some reason Natsu sees that he's in a tight spot, he'll go dragon force and one shot Marco.

Also again, Natsu eats Marco's flames and gets the same regen, which would virtually make it impossible for Marco to kill Natsu as he hasn't shown any good feats yet.

@dimitri1220: actually he can’t. It’s explicitly shown the healing flames are less potent on people other than Marco when he healed the kid.

That's just Marco using his abilities to heal other people, but when Marco covers himself with the flames they work perfectly fine. Natsu could just cover himself in Marco's flames after he's eaten it but still have it be "his own" flames so he could get the full effect, just like in the most recent chapter of 100 year quest.

Marco massively scales above Ace whose passive heat alone curbstomps natus's and has tanked Akainu's hits whose fire is hot enought o burn the seas for 2 years straight, oh most importantly he nullifed a rain of laser beams which truly vap like it was nothing.

He flies through natsu's strongest attack like it didn't exist and one shots.

havent watched fairy tale yet but marco has regen and what not. his regen is so fast that some people think he is a logia which makes no sense because its ZOAN, LOGIA, and then PARAMECIA but still.

Could not be more of a mismatch. Natsu too far above Marco’s pay grade that his regen will be useless + he can eat Marco’s fire and gain the regen for himself. This will always be a mismatch in Natsu’s favor.

Goddamn, Natsu is a hard-counter for any Fire Mage tbh.

Marco isn’t using normal fire tho tbh.
