Conan, he's has vast experience and Makoto Nagi mostly solved his cases with Kyoko Kirigiri help.

This. Makoto not only had investigative tools such as the Monokuma file which occasionally gives decent information on the state of the body, and the help of Kyoko Kirigiri and similarly intelligent students like Byakuya Togami.

Conan does investigate mostly by himself and by making use of his surroundings heavily. In most of the cases, Kyoko already had answers for who was the killer and who was more suspicious.
