The Strong Arm Alchemist vs Capcom's Mascot!!

Ryu is traveling through Amestris searching for a worthy opponent. He comes across Major Armstrong and immediately sees him as a challenge. Ryu screams, initiating the fight. In response, Armstrong flexes his muscles, causing his shirt to explode. The men start each other down, then begin the fight.

• Both are in character and morals on, but determined to win.
• The fight takes place in the streets of Central. They start 20 feet apart.
• Ryu can use feats from all games, movies, comics, and animes minus Asura's Wrath.
• Armstrong can use feats from all animes, mangas, games, and movies.

I'm leaning towards Ryu. I haven't watched Full Metal in a long time, but I'm not sure Alex's alchemy can close the hand to hand skill gap between these two. Ryu's hadou is pretty strong to, probably strong enough to stand up to Armstrong's projectiles, so yeah, imo it would come down to h2h where Ryu would have the advantage.

@joewell: Faster slipped between bullets in the movies, and knocked a huge hole in a building with a single Hyduken. Ryu is a much better martial artist, Ryu is faster, Ryu is stronger.

Not to informed on Major Armstrong, but they seem to have similar stats . I doubt he can outskill Ryu, so I'm backing him .

Wrath did that, and yet Sloth is faster than him.

I'm pretty sure one of Armstrong's larger projectiles could do that.

Not going to deny he's more skilled, but Armstrong isn't bad.

He also fought Scar to a stalemate, who has dodged bullets as well.

How is he stronger? Armstrong's punches sends Sloth flying with a punch, something that an RPG failed to do.

@joewell: A slower character tagging a slower one only means the slower one can time and tag an attack. Wolverine tags Speedball, Spiderman tagged classic Quicksilver...they can time something. And? Scar is still faster And?

Ryu can bust walls and lifted a huge multi ton boulder. I will say Armstrongs punching power is impressive, but he was never going to beat sloth on his own.

Armstrong ran in front to block an attack on his sister. That's not the same thing as him being someone fast enough to prevent a blitz on himself. Wrath could blitz armstrong(not sure why his name was brought up). Sloth's speed was faster, but he was wild and sloppy.

The real question is who wins between them and Senator Armstrong???

Not really, also at that point Scar was trying to get away. In a vacuum without others being around Scar would beat him.

No, Ryu just has better feats. And his usually comp and characters he can actually beat is better than what Armstrong can actually beat.

Umm, it's not arguable at all. It took him, his sister, Izumi, and Izumi's Husband. Armstrong and his sister ran out of steam during the fight and clearly needed help.

@joewell: I was leaning towards Ryu but u make some good points here but I'm not sure if we can really put scar as a bullet timer maybe close cuz for me he just got lucky when hawkeye shit his glasses off

Ryu was a led to slip inbetween bullets much like the way Bradley does and Bradley did dominate scar

Strength I'm not too sure I don't remember much of ryu strength feats

Major Armstrong gives a heck of a fight but ultimately Ryu will prove to much for him. Ryu has the speed, strength, and martial skill advantages. Both have projectiles but Armstrong has more variety in that area thanks to the alchemy.
