@nausea: The one piece world is very large, complex and full of weird places like that island Luffy stayed on where seasons changed rapidly (I want to say it was biweekly). There are countries on elephants, Cities in underwater bubbles, Cities where light always shines and others that are split between fire and ice like a pokeball.

We do not know the size of these mountains nor the time it takes Garp to destroy them, nor do we know how many blows and what blows Garp used to destroy them.

Prime Garp is speculative.

Garp had the potency to create enough force to destroy a continent in a single haki infused blow, this isn’t far fetched knowing how he Roger, and Whitebeard were all peers in strength and Whitebeard is outright stated to be the man capable of destroying the planet in his prime.

With this being said we need to see more feats from garp especially speed feats to determine if he can beat madara. If he is anywhere near G4 Luffy level of speeds tho along with that punching power behind each blow he takes Round 1. And loses Round 2.

Not enough feats or info for garp yet, even in the data book Oda doesn’t refer to the ice as a continent only as a mass of ice.

I’m sure once we get further down the line (probably years worth of story) in one piece garp will definitely stomp round 1.

As of now it’s just a lot of speculation though.

Does Garp have feats? All I can remember is that he used mountains as punching bags which isn't enough to even tickle Madara.

@lsoon23: He was training by busting mountains plus we don't really know how many mountains he busted, and you don't go all out when you train, otherwise Goku would destroy a hundred universes as a warm up. Hell Goku doesn't even do a training as destructive as levelling mountains, since he probably does something simple like a trillion push ups per attosecond. Either way Garp's training doesn't really give us any info on how strong he is.

I still think Madara solidly wins both rounds, but I am getting real tired of people putting OP verse top tiers as only island levels, when so many mid tiers can go beyond that level. Hell the two one hundred million worth giants, that the crew met at Little Garden destroyed a small island size fish and they were pass their prime. Enel also busted a city or small sky island in his flashback.
