team wins. they're most versatile so more options, these guys have worked together before as well so they can play off of each others strengths. also there's no way thing will be able to touch danny.
I'm pretty sure iron fist could solo the thing seeing as he 1 hit KOd colossus
He did huh?
@xeno_seeker: What about an 1v1 fight between Iron Fist and The Thing?
@raw_material: if thing can beat namor,he would stomp iron fist
I'm pretty sure iron fist could solo the thing seeing as he 1 hit KOd colossus
He did huh?
He hit a younger Colossus with the Iron Fist and it just sent him through a wall where he fell on a table and a pie flew in Storm's face when Danny was fighting some members of the X-Men. And said punch didn't much of anything aside from that IIRC.
Hmmmm.
I'm actually leaning towards the Thing.
I know Iron Fist could hit him with....the Iron Fist.
But I think the Thing could take it. Plus Luke Cage really isn't a problem for Ben at all.
Team
Okay. LET'S DO THIS
bring on the debate! Bring it on!
I'm leaning more towards the team, only because morals are off.
Luke Cage couldn't combat Thing along, it'd be a death wish, though he can distract him.
Rand can move fast enough to land multiple attacks on Thing, if he continues to hit the same spot over and over I don't see why he wouldn't be able to crack Thing open or at least KO him.
Rand was able to move pretty fast against that Kinetic Energy stealing demon, and was able to just punch right through it's Achilles Tendon. Of course Thing is much more durable than that Demon but I think after enough wear and tear Thing would just break down.
Plus in that scan that was posted with Thing getting hit by Thor's Hammer he wasn't throwing it as hard as he could. He even states "I wished to avoid doing him a great injury" , not trying to undermine the feat at all but we can't really know how hard he was actually throwing it, we just know it's not full force.
Everybody is talking about Iron Fist but it is Luke Cage's durability that gives them a chance vs Thing... But Thing probably knocks Iron Fist out with a punch and and wins a durability against Cage. Thing 7/10.
@thetruebarryallen: Personally, I think that the feat isn't what it seems to be. Thor was clearly just trying to get rid of Thing. He is holding back as he stated. Thor is powerful enough to know the limits of his power and how hard he should or shouldn't hit a person.
So it goes without saying that Ben got up from that attack and shook it off. Thor wasn't trying to really hurt him. We all know that the Hulk is more powerful and more durable and Iron Fist can hurt him.
Iron Fist could Solo this.
@comic_book_fan: That's foolish when Iron Fist can Tank City busting attacks. Thing is not that strong.
That train was headed towards a city and it contained massive amounts of nuclear weaponry. He was a little scratched up after it but wasn't in horrible shape. I don't know if this would be classified as a city busting attack, but I'd say it is.
Also, you've probably all seen the helicarrier attack scan but for hecks sake I'm gonna post it again.
Cage also has some decent durability that'd distract Thing for awhile. Plus, Cage & Iron Fist have a really long history together and their teamwork is lovely.
@thetruebarryallen: Thanks I didn't have those on hand.
@comic_book_fan: The scans are posted above.
@bossmonster No problem! I keep an entire folder of Iron Fist scans on my computer ^_^
@thetruebarryallen: I have half a mind to believe you are my friend Ian. He's a big Iron Fist fan.
@bossmonster Hahaha nope, I'm named Aaron ^_^
I only recently became a fan of Iron Fist because of the Battle Forums.
Also, if anyone else needs more proof of Iron Fist's durability or combat skills I can post more scans XD
@bossmonster No problem! I keep an entire folder of Iron Fist scans on my computer ^_^
Mind if you post more if you get some? Nice scans btw.
Alright, seeing as the fight of Iron Fist vs Colossus was mentioned earlier I figured I'd post it in it's entirety.
I mean, I'm pretty sure this is more classic and isn't as applicable to a fight but it's still impressive, and Iron Fist hasn't changed ALL that much throughout history.
He's also gone up against the Wrecking Crew and was able to destroy Thunderball's wrecking ball with his fist.
Plus, people are only mentioning the Iron Fist technique that Iron Fist uses, he also has several others.
I'm still saying the team is able to beat Thing ^_^
@thetruebarryallen: Epic. Nice scans. Iron Fist handling a bunch of Mutants; Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Colossus, and Storm in one small apartment? That's freakin' impressive. That bear paw punch he connected on Wolvie was a solid one. Even Logan said, he never got punched like that since a kid, meaning it must've stunned him pretty darn good.
Team wins.
If we're going with Luke Cage's most recent durability feats, he should be able to at least distract the Thing while IF pummels Ben.
Danny solos.
Iron fist solos.
Thing wins. Champion punches muuuuch harder than Cage an' Iron Fist, but Thing could take those blows an' keep on fightin'. Sure he got badly injured but he didn't quit fightin'.
Cage goes up an' punches Thing in the face, but then Thing uppercuts him in the gut, an' then he punches Cage in the face too, then he body slams Cage. He see's Iron Fist jumpin' t'wards him, an' Thing grabs Iron Fist an' body slams him, then Cage jumps t'wards Thing but Thing punches him in the gut with a straight right an' sends him flyin' into a buildin', an' the buildin' falls down on Cage. Then Thing sees Fist gettin' back up thanks to his super durability an' healin', but then Thing starts clobberin' Fist's head deep into the ground, Fist is bein' damaged but Fist is usin' that spiritual-whatever of his an' increases his durability so he can survive Thing's punches. Then Cage digs outta the wreckage from the buildin', has a headache but can keep fightin', then Cage see's what Thing is doin' ta Fist, an' he says "sweet momma….'EY!!! GRIMM!!!! BACK OFF'A HIM, YA BIG PILE 'A ROCKS" an' picks up a car an' throws it t'wards Thing, but Thing backhands the car away, an' then Cage rushes t'wards Thing an' starts punchin' him like crazy, but then Thing grabs his fists an' body slams him, an' then he punches Cage's head deep into the ground, an' then Thing picks up a truck an' slams it at Cage till it's smashed. Cage is now KO'd. Fist has finally healed an' jumps t'wards Thing, now realizes he shouldn't let Thing hit him, so Thing tries ta punch Fist with a haymaker, but Fist dodges, then Thing tries ta clobber him with a backhand, but Fist dodges, then Thing tries ta tackle Fist, but Fist dodges an' punches Thing with a Chi-punch, knockin' him into a truck. Then Thing gets up an' says "awright, so yer good at dodgin' stuff, how good fer you, scrawny….but let's see ya dodge somethin' like THIS" an' thunderclaps Fist which knocks him into a car. Then Thing charges t'wards him, tries ta smash Fist with a straight right, but Fist dodges an' Thing hits the car instead, then Thing uses the car an' hits Fist with it, knockin' Fist into a buildin', then Thing throws the car at Fist an' then he tackles the car an' pushes Fist even deeper into the buildin', an' the entire buildin' falls down on him. Then Thing digs thru the wreckage an' finds Iron Fist down there, an' Fist's super durability has protected him so far, but now Thing gettin' pi**ed an' jumps on Fist which smashes him deep into the ground, an' Thing starts punchin' Fist in the face as hard as he can, an' continues till his skull is literary crushed (as OP said, morals off).
Thing wins.
Danny solos.
Iron fist solos.
Yup.
I think the Thing takes this one after a solid battle. He has so much experience that I don't think the team will be able to pull out anything he hasn't seen before. I think that is what they would need to do get a win. Ben's durability is legendary so I think he can take the Iron Fist punch. Not saying it wouldn't hurt, but Ben has been hit by everything and keeps coming forward. A few area effect attacks on Iron Fist (thunder claps for example) that Danny can't duck from and then it's down to a 1:1 versus Cage. I respect Luke Cage but he's totally outclassed versus a member of the Fantastic Four.
The Thing comes out on top fairly easily (8.5/10)
Interesting match. Ben's pretty durable. Iron Fist's, iron fist shouldn't be anything new to him.
But Ben has more durability feats to back him up in this fight. 9/10 The Thing.
Agreed.
