Luffy and Sanji vs Katakuri

As the fight is being hyped to be taking place sometime within the next few chapters I'm just curious as to how you think the fight is going to go down.

Fight takes place along the edge of the seducing woods, no help from homies just a 2v1

Edit: Since many believed Luffy was out of his league( We will know soon in manga) I decided to add in Sanji as well

Luffy strugled with Cracker, how can he defeat the Potato guy?

Probably Katakuri, even if he doesn't really has the feats Luffy couldn't even beat Creaker alone.

@back_stabbath95: Katakuri was fighting Luffy, Jinbei, Pedro, and Capone at the same time, and the group made it pretty clear they didn't think they could beat him.

Not to mention he's stronger than Cracker, who Luffy couldn't beat without help.

@flashingsabre: true but they had other objectives at hand like Luffy trying to get to the MC photo when he was tagged by a mochi kick. I'm talking strictly those 2 fighting 1v1 when Luffy now knows of Katakuri's high leveled observational haki he could take advantage of the experience he gained when fighting against Enel's mantra.

Tbf, Cracker had a strange DF that didn't care about Luffy's damage output due to his clones, Katakuri is a logia that Luffy has now seen in action

Edit: I can add Sanji if it would make it more debatable?

Luffy couldn't beat Cracker alone and Katakuri is pretty much established as Big Mom's most powerful Commander, while Cracker was among the weakest.

Haven't been reading the manga lately but I heard katakuri already one shotted luffy? Or did I hear wrong?

@chris-sama: Sort of , without spoiling too much there was chaos taking place and Katakuri using his advanced observational haki was able to stop Luffy from doing something by using his foot to turn into a giant blob of haki covered mochi and pinned Luffy down.

Sanji wouldn't change anything. He's my favorite character, but even I can't deny that he hasn't been too impressive since he's entered the New World.

It has been fantastic and imo the best arc all timeskip , there hasn't been too many 1v1 but like I said lots of chaos unraveling and small moments of conflict

@heirtothekingdom: He hasn't had any GREAT fights but he has shown his progress, Blue walk and Skywalk are huge feats for him as well as dodging Katakuri's jellybean snipes and fooling his nearsight

Sanji needs to not hold an L, this is his arc, he needs to win a fight

And Katakuri should stomp, we haven't seen his haki used properly in a fight yet but it should be extremely problematic, coupled with the fact Luffy is a brawler, I can easily see him trapping himself in Katakuri's body

Those are good feats in terms of mobility and speed, but in terms of durability and power, he's lacking.

@heirtothekingdom: not entirely true, blue walk itself could be considered durability no? He as capable of running on water at the bottom of the ocean withstanding water pressures also he was able to use a diable jambe on the kraken and grill its tentacle

It's a durability feat, yes, but nothing enough to show he's taking beat downs from the monsters the New World has. The Kraken feat was nice, but in comparison to Zoro and Luffy, he's out-classed.

@kamishini: dodging Katakuri's jellybean when it was right near his head after Katakuri decided he needed to take the shot because he foresaw the minister missing his shot and iirc puddings shots too or was that when Daifuku intervened?

I don't remember Katakuri shot, but he has no speed feats so that's assumption, dodging a bullet is something that supersonic characters can easily do, even without precog, so for a MHS+ character it's like blinking.

@kamishini: true but he is a sweets commander apparently the strongest if I'm not mistaken he also has the highest known bounty( not that it's an indicator of power) besides the fact that he has shown to know a full conversation before it takes place and the charlotte family seem to rely on his foresight he wasn't able to see Sanji dodging. No he doesn't have really any speed feats besides intercepting Luffy and intercepting Gastino

I'm aware of the "change" Sanji is arguably the fastest combatant on the crew until Luffy uses G2 for sure. Also that fastest runner on the crew is Brook as confirmed by Oda in a fairly recent SBS. Since this is being bumped should I edit and make it Sanji and Luffy VS Katakuri?

Its outrageous, but is it even remotely possible for Katakuri to become the first New World Straw Hat?

Ot: Katakuri has an edge due to his Haki and versatile DF. Physically he has already proved to be more than a match for Luffy.

@back_stabbath95: well brook being da fastest on da crew was more about travel speed & even den it didn't factor in abilities like sanji sky walk or luffy g2 so meh... also yes i do believe u should add sanji 2 make it a bit more even tho i still think katakuri takes it wit high mid diff

@seastone98: Sanji's losses have all been for the betterment of the story imo though he does deserve a nice solid victory at least vs the Vinsmokes or something where he can have some hype again, him dodging Katakuri's jellybean and defying his CoO was awesome, next chapter will be awesome

@seastone98: I'm honestly not seeing it this arc his thing is making the cake right now his only fights I can see happening this arc is Daifuku since he won't fight Smoothie unless Luffy and Katakuri appear before him through mirror world.. I think he needs to beat down his bros 3v1 no holding back lol personally I like all of them and how highly I view them changes upon arcs but I've always like Robin particularly because her being in the crew didn't always make much sense until the climax of Enies lobby
