Luffy vs Itachi

I agree, Slime CAN be very sticky, but for the most part it isn't too sticky.

For the liquid part, the only pieces that would stick on his clothes/skin would be those that actually come into contact with it.

This Slime is portrayed as being generally pretty sticky tho. It was sticking to ship masts and crossing mountains by sticking to them. Caesar also specifically commanded it to wrap around Luffy so I would assume it would stick to him as hard as it can.

I want Luffy to win, but I'm not going to lie to myself and say he blitz's since not only is that completely out of character, but he starts in base here and Itachi almost always starts a fight with Genjutsu

"evidently from being caught in the explosion" What? How did you come to this conclusion? He had been beaten before, could have coughed for any reason. By the way, Luffy himself said "it was close".

Moreover, the narrator's comment is much more reliable than his own, if Luffy had not completely evaded he would have said, there is no reason to make excuses. And he may well have moved to the mast later, it is only said that he dodged the explosion in a split second.

Sorry, but do you realize how people just come up with a lot of excuses when every One Piece speed feat is posted? While Itachi's feat against Kirin is as doubtful as (There is no evidence he didn't activate before Sasuke lowered his hand to attack). Still, no one arguing in favor of Luffy makes excuses about it.

@banstead: Even if we accept the feat as legitimate, the explosion really isn't all that big, I'm sure if you calced it, it would be around Hypersonic.

Regardless of how fast Luffy is, he isn't going to blitz in character, he gets put under Genjutsu, that's just how it goes.

There are many arguments, one of them being Kaguya being able to put everyone under genjutsu despite the people not having any chakra yet.

Lol was waiting for you to say that.... that's a wrong assumption. Kaguya was trying to make a new chakra fruit. What's the main component of a chakra fruit...Chakra, and its seen that kaguya is absorbing it from the people in the scan below which proves they had chakra

Itachi's genjutsu working on a normal civillian just fine.

@ebitan: you can't assume she doesnt have chakra because she is a normal citizen. This just proves she has chakra, besides jiraya said this about the same time as that happened
