Even if you equalize the stats, Hulk has regeneration. Luffy would be screwed.

luffy cruShes hulk. with composite feAts, luff is at least univeRsal level. he Could tAke on goku & toriko at the Same tiMe. On the other hand, composite Hulk has feats like getting destroyed by a gorilla.

Of course Hulk fanboys are going to be in denial because an anime character defeats their western trash.

In these conditions Luffy wins of course. He is practically immune to blunt force, has precog, and a much better fighter. Hulk's regen won't stop him from getting KO'd by a King Kong Gun.

Im confused by what equalized stats actually mean in this fight. Which stats?

Strength, speed, durability I guess, though I am not sure if Luffy retains his "immune to blunt force" hax.

Then Hulk wins due to superior endurance and regen.

@enemybird: How will regen help him against blunt force? The Hulk has been KO'd before by beings around his level of strength.

So... all stats equalized.. we are no longer dealing with the same characters so this fight is trash. Not to mention composite Hulk has destroyed dimensions with a thunderclap, so if you want to lowball, i can answer with a whank.

Stats equalized just makes it worse for Luffy, Luffy is massively faster than Hulk.

Oh, another thing. Even assuming stats are equalized, Luffy would be susceptible to Hulk's gamma radiation. And yeah, Hulk gains Luffy's speed here, which makes it even worse for Luffy.

Hulk just no question apart from taking down over 1/2 of the chitauri he emits gamma radiation so all he has to do is be around luffy and that will make him weaker

His regan and endurance should be alot of trouble for luffy tho luffy has the H2H adventage

Equal stats luffy stomps, he has precog so hulk is gonna hit him a lot less than luffy will hit him.

An all around better fighter and combat strategist

And can use Haki to make his strikes more potent

I'm sure hulk could knock hulk out, so luffy wins by knockout.

Here is the flaw with composite versions in manga vs. comics.

Luffy is the titular character in a Shonen-esque manga, usually written by 1-2 groups at the most. His feats will only get better as the series progresses. It's about "how good can I be to go get the thing or protect the people from the thing". Luffy's low feats, like with most titular Shonen folks, are early in the canon.

Hulk is a comic book character and has been written by at least 8-10 different teams and exists in at least 4-5 different canons. Which means he will have feats that do not progress linearly, and anime fans look for the low feats to discredit the character. And I believe if you have to find an outlier low feat (or 2, or 5) to discredit a character, it means the anime guy isn't good enough to take down the comic book guy.

If Luffy can beat Hulk, it should be because Luffy is better in the fight displayed than Hulk, not because Hulk had some low showing by some random writer who did 3 issues 17 years ago.

As for the fight itself, with the stats equalized, it means what?

It means Hulk's HF and strength are nerfed (because these are superior to Luffy's, even in Gear Fourth), but his speed and tactical expertise (because intelligence is a stat, otherwise Batman would get his tail kicked three times as much as he does).

If you gave the Hulk prep, he BFR's Luffy to some water because IIRC, devil fruit folk can't swim.

So basically, is Luffy a more competent fighter than standard Savage Hulk? Yes. And for that, he wins. If you equalized him and Green Scar, we'd be having a different discussion.

How do you make a "stats equalized" fight with someone whose stats CONSTANTLY grow throughout the entire fight...

Him using gear itself is taking a toll as for hulk he just gets better as he gets angry.

Hulk's physical attacks won't do anything so as brute with no reasoning he'll just get mad while getting thrashed but I'm pretty sure he's taken harder hits.

Luffy will get exhausted and gear will deactivate and that's when hulk flicks him miles away like a kid playing with rubber bands.

This is spite. Stats were equalized so Luffy would stand a chance, because strongest version of Hulk (worldbreaker) is a large star and FTL being with ungodly durability, endurance and regen. He could solo the HST

whoops, didn't notice it was composite Hulk, I just assumed it's base/savage hulk since that would actually make some sense. Otherwise it's a massive mismatch stomp.

@skrskr: Except he would never be at Hulks strength, Hulks strength increases as he gets angrier, so Luffy would never be at Hulks strength level. And the healing factor should take care of everything else.

@deathunlimited1: you don't think it's possible that he could knock the hulk out with his own strength before hulk got too powerful? He does have precognition and is a better fighter, on top of that he can coat his fist with Haki and hit harder.

You'd have to grant Hulk Haki for him to win

Else it's a stalemate

@skrskr: He wouldn't be fast enough though, the "angrier he gets the stronger he gets" affect would almost instantly start as Luffy throws the first punch with his better fight prowess and then keep on going as Luffy keeps on fighting. Even if he somehow manages to dodge all of Hulks hits, (which he very much won't as he isn't fast enough) Luffy won't have the stamina to keep up and eventually get in rhythm with slugging it out with hulk at which point he is doomed. And theres no way luffy taking hulk out in one punch, even with his own strength. I am not sure what Haki is, but not only is Hulks skin nigh invulnerable as it is, it also heals almost instantly. So i don't think it would make much difference either if he hit harder.
