Yeah I have to lean towards Livewire as well because of some of her good fights against Superman shows she's not easy to put down.

Love both of these characters but I don't think lighting even hurts Livewire which limits Storm's arsenal and her favorite element.

Livewire should take this match but it'd be a good struggle.

Storm for the win. It would likely be an especially short lived fight if Livewire has a vulnerability to moisture.

Basically, can Storm magically figure out that she needs to create rain, then do so, before Livewire completely fries her?

Storm will actually need her fabled light-speed reflexes against someone who can actually transform into raw electricity.

Storm could always summon lightning to fight back. I personally never really understood why Livewire could hurt Superman, but fail to hurt Batgirl (Stephney Brown) because her armor was insulated for electricity, after all wouldnt Superman's durability provide better insulation. Then we have her tanking Superman hits, but getting knocked out by Batgirl? I would hate to think, Stephney of all people could hit harder than Superman o_O

You would make more sense if Storm had a bad track record of overpowering elemental beings, but she doesn't. Secondly Storm's knowledge of her powers electricity/wind/pressure fields/heat/ice/etc and perceiving energy is much greater than Livewires. It wouldn't take Storm any time to know how to short out an electrical opponent... Storm has shown to be able to manipulate larger electromagnetic field than anything livewire has ever done.

Storm takes the majority here easily.

@Killemall: That happened because Livewire is one of the biggest jobbers in history. She literally got physically knocked out by Misfit in a boxing ring, who had insulated nothing. She didn't even use her powers. She got KNOCKED. OUT. Then again, that was Simone writing and Simone doesn't give half a poop about established feats.

She's a Superman villain, at the end of the day.

@Joygirl: To the best of my knowledge she has only fought Superman 4 time? Would you happen to know a list of issue where she's fought Superman, while i do not claim to have read every superman issue, i have read quite a bit and she is not among his regular villain.

No Magic Required she has energy sight

@Killemall: I am actually not a big Superman reader myself. The only time I've seen her alongside Superman was in TAS, which is technically where she was born and therefore a pretty solid indicator to her power level. She just blasted him, generally -- she's an elemental being who's pretty much composed entirely of electricity so she's as powerful as she has to be, as far as shocking people goes. Also she's fast (lightspeed I think, since she's made of light) and basically can't be killed except by stupid water, which lets her wreak a lot of havoc.

I'm willing to argue that Storm could overpower her in the lightning department, add to the that the other various powers she has in her arsenal this is almost a stomp.

Hurt him with lightning.

Doesn't storm usually have some resistance to electricity, cold, etc? She's also capable of flash freezing her enemies, as well as weaponizing atmospheric pressure. Storm wins.

I was going to post this but you beat me to it :-). Combined with Storm's high degree of electrical resistance and ability to counter electricity based attacks I think Livewire is just outmatched here. I would also think that a being composed of electrical energy would be in danger of Storm vying for control of their energy form. IIRC, per McDuffie himself Storm used the same concept that she creates lightning and applied it to Stardust's energy form to disburse her. Don't see why she couldn't repeat that here.

Livewire can't do anything that will hurt her. Storm wins make it rain.
