Prior that fight The female M.U.T.O was able to claw herself out of Mountain Yuccawas

Most foes are overwhelmed just by the enormous destructive power of its long tail. The strength of his tail swings are great enough to kill the male M.U.T.O outright as well as knock over a large skyscraper by accident.

Here Godzilla's claws were powerful enough to hurt the Shinomura (another Kaiju Bigger than Godzilla) despite being slightly smaller than him.

Atomic Heat Ray

Godzilla's atomic breath was more of a focused, fiery shaped energy beam that Godzilla spews out. The blasts were strong enough to push, severely weaken, and eventually kill, the female M.U.T.O.(capable of took heavier undeterred heavy weaponsand she didn't even care about missles army throwed at her.

It also took out Shinomura from the Prequel comic in one shot. Shinomura was still immune to WW2 era weapons.

Durability

Legendary Godzilla easily withstood 15 Megaton Nuke that was Castle Bravo. 5th largest Nuke in the world. In terms of TNT tonnage equivalence, Castle Bravowas about 1,000 times more powerful than each of the atomic bombs which weredropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II.

Notes:This were the nuke tests in Bikini Atoll, Godzilla survived every single one.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Castle

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Redwing

GZ best feat was showing no damage from Castle Bravo.

This is the power of the single largest tested Nuke by America. It leaves a crater of 1.2 miles and 78 meters deep!

Hahaha this is interesting.

Id say it can deal better cutting attacks than anything else he took...but if the axe stopped where it did on Thanos, it's not even getting through Godzilla's hide just by sheer size.

Iron man and gamora both managed to cut/pierce thanos. If stormbreaker could generate the force of a 15 megaton nuke, thanos would have been completely and utterly obliterated by it, not just impaled. Therefore we can make the assumption that there's no way Thor is doing any damage to GZ.

However I'd call it a draw based on Thor's durability feats. Namely, taking a concentrated blast continously from a neutron star for a few minutes. GZ could send thor flying through buildings with ease, but thor would get back up every single time.

False. The Neutron star eat is busted by the science how it was portrayed, and by the simple fact Thor been harm by Hulk fine and Hulk has Skyscraper level strength at best.

I'm not sure if Godzilla is even fair to use in threads regardless of the version. I mean, until he's put up against King Kong we won't really be able to gauge his capabilities

@ancient_0f_days: well he has feats in his own from comics and the movie, Godzilla is not featless therefore is not considered unfair.

Not saying he's featless, he's just not had a legitimately quantifiable opponent, King Kong is going to be the measuring stick when the fight happens and if that's a close fight, this probably won't be.

Don't forget that he was knocked out by a ship explosion at the beginning of the film as well. As usual, people are wanking things to the extreme. There also the fact that it nearly killed him. (star feat)

Why is Kong more quantifiable than 14 megaton nuke blast, Harpoon missiles, or the sky scraper bashing Muto's?

Thor or a draw.

While Legendary Godzilla's durability is immense he could be knocked down from buildings/the MUTO's. Both of which are inferior to him.

Also if the statements about MUTO's emp is intended to weaken the atomic breath then we haven't seen it's full potential.

Thor could likely just keep up a bombardment or damage him with Stormbreaker

@dragonborntookanarrowtotheknee: TBH, the breath will probably not be as strong as the beam Thor endured if more realism is what they're going for. His beam simply can't be that strong or Kong can't put up even the slightest bit of a fight against Godzilla, and Godzilla will use it. The Kong vs. Godzilla fight is happening in a few years from now. I think it comes down to physical attacks and how Godzilla handles lightning. This version of Godzilla fights more like an animal minus the breath.

With speed equalized its more of a question of who is more durable. and while Stormbreaker is formidable even a great slash from it is a minor cut. Im not saying Thor doesnt have a chance but the way the op is set up I dont see Thor being able to land enough meaningful hits simply due to his size. Godzilla 8/10

Speed equalized.

Why? What a weird addition.

OT: Thor. It would be difficult for Big G to fight someone that small in the best of circumstances, more so when they can fly around and survive most of your hits. Thor can put the axe through Godzilla's eye and even with speed equalized is at very low risk of being tagged.

Its gon be a drawn-out slugfest but I see Big G winning in the end due to his ridiculous size and his extreme endurance.

While I don't see them one-shotting each other, due to their respective durability and massive size difference, Im not convinced that Thor can last awhile with Big G.

@rebake: I expect a stronger beam in Godzilla 2 or the Red Beam

And while physically this Godzilla is strong I doubt he'd be able to beat Thor who'd had the advantage

@frombeyond: It keeps aggravating me that people say gamora cut thanos. That simply does not count, as it was only an illusion from the reality stone. Iron man drew 1 from of blood from thanos.. wow, what a feat

@frombeyond: Stormbreaker didn't just hit Thanos, it overpowered the full force of the gauntlet and then hit Thanos. the Gauntlet that, 2 gems earlier had torn the surface off of a moon.

Thor can’t hurt Godzilla, he’s like a fly. If Godzilla catches the fly he’s dead, but he’s gotta catch the fly that’s the problem.

@santiagomormon: Thor can definitely hurt Godzilla if missiles caused him slight pain in the bridge scene. Aim for the gills...

Yeah nah.

You left out context. Prior to that encounter Godzilla was following both MUTOs non-stop for days @gojira2512 already showcased the continent-sized journey he took from San Francisco to Hawaii whilst being pestered by the military and once he arrived at the airport he got into a fight with the Male Muto.

Getting knocked down by a building when he's obviously exhausted from fighting two MUTOs simulteanously is understandable and this isn't even taking into account tanking Castle Bravo as well as the asteroid both of which are leagues beyond Thor in terms of damage output.
