TPM Kenobi and AOTC Anakin should be behind TCW S5 Ashoka. Anyway, he stops at 8. His strength based style isn’t going to help him much against someone who’s stronger than him.

He has a chance to clear rounds 8 and 9 would 've tough but he could potentially take it.

Hard stops at 8 (Savage). In sabers, he has problems against most of them but his force powers grants him a solid edge. Overall, he certainly struggles against AoTC Anakin but prevails nonetheless. He cannot survive Savage in any scenario though.

@catman5: lack of feats. TPM Kenobi’s only good feat is while rage amped and AOTC Anakin only impressive feat is either an outlier or due to an amp.

None of those characters have as many years of true training as Kylo Ren, and he's a Skywalker.

He clears effortlessly and goes out like this while looking at all the corpses.

Stops at 5, and he only gets that far because of his force powers.

He is, but to be honest that accolade isn't a very good one for Kylo. The book says it would be a "good fight".

Sorry, it was talking about how the incarnation in Sith Hunters is lower than TPM Maul. But he should still win against Kylo because in Sith Hunters he can one-shot Obi Wan signalling he can do the same in TPM

The order is wrong. S7 Ahsoka beats TCW Maul who is >> TPM Maul.

@bayman007 Lol have you even watched the duel between Ahsoka and Maul? Maul was able to disarm both of Ahsoka's sabers from her. The reason Ahsoka won was largely because of where they were fighting

He isn't.

He is mostly just overrated by a select few people.

In The Rise of Skywalker novelization, it is said that he had no chance against the Knights of Ren without his lightsaber. The same novel also states that the Knights are weak in the force. In addition to this, guidebooks have re-affirmed their weak force abilities and also stated that they're completely untrained in the force. Even if you want to argue that he stomped the Knights with his lightsaber, the novelization states that he was amped by Rey and telepathically guided when beating them. So the showing's impressiveness is greatly lessened.

Simply put, he's kind of trash. He has no chance against a version of Maul who was able to take on two highly trained jedi ~ one being nearing knight level the other being a council level master.

Why do you say that? Kylo is

1. older

2. trained by a light and dark side master

3. better raw power feats

4. better hype statements

5. obviously more midicholrians

6. uses the force mid lightsaber combat so he can overcome better duelists if he needs to

TPM Maul could definitely take some rounds, but he is really the only one on this gauntlet I see actually stopping Kylo at all. Maybe S7 Ahsoka depending how you take her victory over Maul.

Hards stops at 4. He isn't beating TPM Kenobi. Dude was at the end of his training and becoming a full fledged Jedi and beat Maul. Kenobi already has 13 years of experience under his belt by this point and had far more impressive reflexes and combat abilities that Kylo displayed.

Also we're talking about a guy with a horrible W/L ratio and never won a fair lightsaber duel on screen. Just a bunch of no named guards that aren't exactly adept in the force or combat in comparison to Jedi or Sith. I'm not really sure what the argument for Kylo besting Padawan Kenobi is beyond baised liking of Kylo. I'm all ears though, but I just can't see Ben besting the man whom he was named after in a 1v1 duel.

@daisy_johnson: TPM Kenobi’s only feat against a non-fodder is getting bullied by Maul and his feats against fodder aren’t even that good. I don’t see how Kylo gets beat by this version of Kenobi.

@jedisympathiz3r: If you scale a rage amped Kenobi to Jinn then I can see the case for Obi winning. Anyway he definitely doesn't beat TPM Maul. I believe I've argued that exact battle elsewhere.
