slicing of mountains and showing it is based on the author itself, not all author would show mountain being sliced or simply forget it, take example, first time susanoo was shown it slice a mountain but after that it never did it again unless you include Kyubi+susanoo, you also have to factor in the length of the blade is to the mountain, for example many character can do Sword Ki waves with a 2meter sword and extend up to 200meters which is 100x its blade size and cut everythign in between, but then factor in a 100meters blade/susanoo and extending only 10x its size is actuall much weaker feat than the former feat just the bigger blade and Destruction gives the illusion of a better feat but due to it being bigger, a fight of giants is more impressive looking than a fight of small ants.
base Komamura back in SS was capable of slicing hills with merely releasing his zanpakuto out as seen when he fought Kenpachi, factoring in Shikai and Bankai that is atleast a 20-50x increase but after that komamura was never shown to have ever use Sword Pressure ever again because kubo did not feel like it.
now imagine how much destruction Gin could cause via his bankai if he did the same thing Komamura did in his base but extending the cutting with a 13km Sword, he would easily be able to cut a Island if he so wished.
Isshin did state that all captains would be waving skyscrapers long blades if they did not control its size, but waving long blades is inefficient in a fight if a smaller form has the same power it would cause less destruction and also concentrate the energy. if a fodder like Grand Fisher had a blade several dozen meters long a captains would be waving hundreds of meters long blade similar to susanoo and factoring in Komamura Slice against kenpachi using a small factor blade the results would be not much different than susanoo.
