Vs
If Marco and Rayleigh worked together, can they bring Kizaru down?
Backing Kizaru actually, if he's serious. Marco can hang with his DF regen but he can't actually hurt Kizaru, Rayleigh has a better chance but Kizaru has options to fight him at range instead of up close.
Him ever being serious is extremely out of character.
Team wins, no one is soloing this but old Rayleigh is either near or currently at admiral level, marco can hang with them and has healing to compensate, both together should win based on what we have seen.
Maybe some day we will see a bloodlusted Kizaru bringing hell and even turning out to be the strongest admiral but till then team wins.
@god_vulcan: I'd say that's partly due to the fact that he's never been in a situation that warranted it. Nobody he's fought so far has been able to do any real damage to him, even when Marco "forced" him back he was completely unharmed.
@juiceboks: Welp, that personality of his might just be the death of him. By the time he realizes he's in trouble it'd be too late, which is actually a possibility

Why would it be too late? Remember he has Haki and he doesn't just tank attacks that he knows could do damage to him (like when he flew out of the explosion that Zephyr created). He probably knows they don't pose much of a threat to him besides possibly being cut up by Rayleigh, which is why he didn't just tank his sword strikes.
@juiceboks: because he just trolls, like when marco kicked him and he blocked it he said ow and marco even said stop lying and then kizaru flies into the wall with his own power acting like marco kicked him that hard, he never really uses his speed like he should, I guess jobber is a bit excessive of a word but I think you know what I meant.
I would be willing to bet that Kizaru would get soloed by Rayleigh
Remember this is the guy that Garp thought was dangerous enough that the marines shouldn't take him on at around the same time as Whitebeard and was fighting evenly with (and even kinda blitzed) Kizaru while rusted.
Even if Rayleigh can't win by himself, Kizaru can't beat two people who pressured him
@juiceboks: well I don't think he's only lightspeed with the mirror, if you look at the time xdrake was watching him kick apoo kizaru disappears in a little sparkle of light and then his is right next to xdrake about to kick him while xdrake was still looking at the kick that just happend.
Not saying he is just constantly lightspeed but I'm sure he'll be pretty op whenever he gets into a real fight and we get real discriptions on what exactly he can do.
I have a theory that he's the most powerful admiral but he doesn't really care about the job and just does what he has to scrape by.
@skrskr: @juiceboks: why are you guys saying Kizaru is lightspeed when he has no feats comparable to natural light?
@ninjawarrior268: because he is literally the light logia and can travel as literal light through his yata mirror?
Episode 401 is literally called "no escape! Admiral kizarus light speed kick"
Given that both members on the team are admiral level (or damn close to it), they take this low diff. Rayleigh alone was holding his own against Kizaru, with Marco they'll definitely have the upper hand.
Rayleigh could probably edge this out if serious.
Together it's a mismatch
Team should win in-universe. Rayleigh held the edge against Kizaru during their short scuffle and managed to draw blood from him, the only issue here would be his stamina as he was panting after their exchange whereas Kizaru wasn’t. He’d just picked up his sword for the first time in 20 years to duel an Admiral and he’s over 70 years old so this is understandable, additionally he had no issues swimming in the Calm Belt, dome shotting Sea Kings who thought he was easy prey so fighting Borsalino brought out his maximum effort.
Rayleigh was smart enough to keep the fight at CQC and not let Kizaru gain the distance needed to spam lasers, however he’d be trying to do just that here and make a greater effort doing it since that’s his best method of victory. Luckily for Rayleigh he has another close range fighter aiding him who also happened to overpower Kizaru and stalemate him for a prolonged period. Furthermore Marco has the added benefit of having high regen in his Phoenix form so good he was ignoring Kizaru’s lasers and letting them pass through him.
They force the fight into CQC and Kizaru gets bodied.

@socajunkie: Eh its not as if Rayleigh somehow forced Kizaru into a cqc fight, there was nothing stopping Kizaru from flying high into the air and spamming lasers, he just chose to engage Rayleigh in a pure sword fight for some reason.
That being said, based on what we have now, Kizaru would probably lose. He never really abused his speed against a notable opponent except in the movie Z and his current dc feats are a bit lacking.
@shirso: He did force him, when Kizaru tried transforming into light to attack Zoro, Rayleigh cut his path forcing him to become tangible again.
So he would have done the same thing if Kizaru tried to fly during their fight.
@ecstaticgrace: That’s not true. He was fully focused on Rayleigh then made a light sword and after their initial clash you see a cut on his cheek.
He didn’t stop paying attention to Rayleigh before the blood was drawn, page 7 chapter 512.
@ecstaticgrace: There isn’t one in this instance, the same sequence happens in the anime: Kizaru’s cheek is bleeding after their blade lock.
