@night4345: Never said the show is better, but it have better fighting scenes then Merlin mostly due to bigger budget. But the fighting is lacking in Merlin.

I was saying what makes GoT fighters better than fighters in Merlin. What exactly was it lacking?
@night4345: The fighting scenes where better made, with stronger, faster more agile characters, they are better choreographed, better funded better in almost every aspect. Merlins fight scenes where dull with long swords slowly swinging at each other missing the mark.
EDIT: It didn't need to be only long swords but the swordsmen handled even the one handed swords like long swords.
@lariend: If anything the Merlin fights had faster movements depending on which fight. You might have it on strength due to people like the Mountain but nothing in the show has made me think they're faster or more agile. Since when does debating a character's skill have anything to do with how funded the show is? The fights dullness is subjective on your part.
Jaime, definitely. If he was to be in Arthurs world he'd be essentially Lancelot. Lancelot, in pretty much every iteration of the Arthurian Legends is the supreme swordsman, better than even Arthur. Since Arthur doesn't have Excaliber and this is just a straight up sword fight, Jaime should take this pretty much every time.
@night4345: Well since GOT is better funded they can spend more money on fights scenes making the fight scenes better which also lead to the characters that look like they fight a lot better. Take Oberyn vs The Mountain, given how well made and well funded that fight scene is Oberyn and The Mountain showed better feats then any in Merlin. The Characters in GOT is better in fighting because the show itself is better. More money means better fight scenes which means better feats.

I second this. Jaime should clearly take it.
