Aside from that, what exactly makes the skill gap so outrageously in kenshiro's favor?

Being able to read ancient texts, compel people to tell the truth and erase memories using pressure point are the only things Jin has not shown been capable of doing, but they aren't even battle applicable so they are irrelevant.

Aside from that Jin can warp space with a kick, amp his stats, heal people and paralyse people. Everything that Ken can do that is battle applicable, so can Jin.

Combine that with the grotesque stat gap, and superior gear, then obviously jin smokes Kenshiro

You have to master Hokuto Shinken first, be part of the Hokuto Bloodline and then you have a chance to learn Muso Tensei, still can't be copied and no that's not the "only requirement".

Raoh and other Hokuto masters can copy everyone's abilities, the Muso Tensei still cannot be copied.

Kenshiro will completely master every single ability Jin has anyways.

Kenshiro isn't affected by pressure point. You can't copy Muso Tensei by seeing it. That seals the deal.

"stat gap and gear" that is still countered by Muso Tensei, a little strike to the pressure points and Jin is history.

Even without stone monkey transformation, Mori can comfortably use and react to yeoui, which already puts him at bare minimum large country- small continent level and FTL. Also if Muso Tensei can't be copied neither can jeonbonchim acupuncture which requires eating the sage pill.

So to go over, Mori is physically superior in all categories, is on par with kenshiro in skill as both have moves the other can't copy and his gear (yeoui, sparrow cloud and sealing gourd) can one shot Kenshiro.

How is kenshiro skill surpassing these hurdles?

True or not it doesn't matter, Kenshiro doesn't need it.

I dont know anything about Mori so i cant really debate, but everyone here is really lowballing kenshiro stats so imma drop some feats just to let you know how strong Kenshiro really is.

strenght and durability: country level atleast, jagi, toki and raoh can tank nukes visible from space and ken is obv much stronger than these guys. An half dead Raoh coul split a cloud and clear the sky with a punch, calced at small island level. Kasumi Kenshiro again did a similar thing but on higher scale splitting a giant cloud over china, large island level. Bare in mind that EOS Kenshiro would stomp Raoh, same Raoh that can wreck an island while on the verge of death.

speed: now comes the juicy stuff, like im tired of people dowplaying Ken speed. He is easily FTL, as there are many statements throughout the story that implies this. Han can move so fast that he appears to have no shadow on his fists, and in souten no ken there are guys who can do shadowless moves. Gento Ko Ken is a martial art entirely based on light attacks and destroying at molecular level with ki. Again in souten no ken there is this one guy named Van der kool who uses a martial art similar to gento ko ken, and he can throw one hundred quintillion fists at the same time, massively FTL. Then again Garuda is a character that can quote: rend the air at the speed of light burning the opponent with the friction produced by his fists. so yeah its not at all a stretch to say Kenshiro is FTL, possibly MFTL.
