But uhhh I think air has a natural advantage against water and that katara is the worst in this match.

In terms of

Attack Potency, Korra > Aang = Katara > Tenzin

Speed, Aang ≥ Korra > Tenzin > Katara

Durability, Korra > Aang > Tenzin > Katara

Skill, they are all around the same level however korra here is the most well rounded, and I'd say Tenzin is the worst here.

Korra beats Aang or Tenzin in a 1v1.

Aang can beat Katara on ground however if Katara says inside the lake she can beat him or Tenzin.

Team Korra wins.

Bonus round, Aang overall versatility is not enough to beat Korras superior strength, defense and raw power

@marvelfan1992: Adult Aang is too strong for his opponents. Korra goes down last but ultimately I dont see the team tagging Aang.

Aang going solo against the waterbenders would honestly be a good fight. The airbenders have it in the bag.

Aang & Tenzin.

Aang w/ airbending only would beat Korra w/ waterbending only, pretty solidly. Katara would only be able to beat Tenzin in an icy environment, like one of the poles, or with a much larger amount of water to draw upon from all sides

I'm actually not sure; this is a really close fight. The waterbenders have a general power advantage (Korra > Katara >=< Aang >> Tenzin), but I don't know if they'd be able to effectively leverage that to beat the airbenders agility advantage. I'm leaning team water because I think Tenzin is a slight weak link with the effectively unlimited water here, but I could easily be convinced. And nobody is soloing.

This is very close. Aang morals off and with comic feats would be dangerous AF, I could see him beating Katara while Tenzin holds off Korra. Team air wins.

Bonus Round: If Korra gets in the water I can see her winning. If Aang keeps her away from the water then he wins.

Katara and Korra win, Tenzin lacks the power to really aid Aang, and Aang's fighting performance with just air is unconvincing.

Bonus Round: Korra wins in an extreme diff fight. She's a top tier waterbender who actually beats other waterbenders and opponents with water. Aang wins and accomplishes next to nothing with air in a fight. But he has some great out of combat feats with it too make it close.

Katara and Korra win due to the unlimited water. Team air do not have an agility advantage when Korra has spouts and Katara has a river to dance around on.

In terms of in combat agility/mobility: Kataras performance in the serpents pass>>Anything Tenzin has ever done.

Aangs raw power could net them some wins but not a majority. Morals on would make this one sided in favour of team water.

As for the bonus, Korra beats Aang with that much water.

@fanfeatrt: did you really just say Aang > Tenzin > Katara....iN dUrabIliTy?¿

Aang has debatably some of the worst durability feats in the verse and usually goes down after a single hit

Tenzin on the other hand took attacks from each of the red lotus members

It should be Korra >> Tenzin > Aang = Katara

OT: with unlimited water Korra and Katara take this. Katara can stalemate Aang while Korra overwhelms Tenzin, then they gang up on Aang

Team air narrowly, it's a pretty even match in terms of raw power and skill, but I feel that the airbender's have a pretty decent speed and agility edge over the waterbenders.

Bonus round: I say Aang narrowly, mostly because of a mixture of speed, mobility, and defence.

@emmafrostxmen: Tbh besides P'li those attacks were very small scale and precise. They didnt really have a lot of power. Aang is mostly a glass cannon however he has a decent amount of durability feats, so at most aang and tenzin are equal.

@emmafrostxmen: I think this is one of his top durability feats. He gets blasted quite a distance from Azula's charged flame, and smashed into the stone wall, crushing it. He gets up and keeps fighting after.

@marvelfan1992: Haha yea that was definitely a cheap shot, he just jumped in and bopped him. That reminds me, he actually makes a decent impact into the ground after that fall and gets up again. Also you love that gif of Sokka and Ty Lee, don't you? :p

OP: I think this is a really close fight. Getting through the airbenders defense will be difficult. Aang has shielded against comet enhanced fire and combustion bending, so water blasts probably won't be as effective. I think there best chance would be through flash freezing. They can keep up with mobility if they use the water. Korra and Katara are quite fast on it.

He's offscreen and KOed for 15 seconds (tagged at 2:50, back at 3:05). He only comes back after Zuko and Azula beat Katara. This isn't really a durability feat.

I think you mean 1:50 and 2:05. I was looking at it for 1:54, when Aang makes impact with the wall, and then at 2:05 we hear him earthbending his way out, you see Zuko turn his head at the sound. Do you think that seems like a very short time to be considered knocked out? He comes back fighting again.

Just because someone is KO'd it does not mean the showing does not qualify as a durability feat. No one else here has taken a hit like this, or even close.

Anyway, I recall Aang tanking a point blank explosion fighting Zuko in B1, and I'm probably blanking out on a lot of his other showings as well. He's not noticably behind Korra or Tenzin physically whatsoever.

Not that he'd need to be able to take any hits to win this fight given he is virtually untouchable to his opponents here.

@chloros:

I do. Whoops.

I was looking at it for 1:54, when Aang makes impact with the wall,

I'm measuring from when Azula's attack hit him.

and then at 2:05 we hear him earthbending his way out, you see Zuko turn his head at the sound. Do you think that seems like a very short time to be considered knocked out? He comes back fighting again.

He does, but it's long enough for Katara to get taken down and lose the fight for team Gaang. In a 1v1 fight without Katara to distract Azula's attention, she could've killed him, which is what I would expect to happen here.

@anthp2000

Just because someone is KO'd it does not mean the showing does not qualify as a durability feat.

Yes it does, at least for the purposes of a fight.

No one else here has taken a hit like this, or even close.

Korra straight up tanked a torpedo underwater in the battle of Yue Bay. These torpedoes were blowing holes in warships.

Anyway, I recall Aang tanking a point blank explosion fighting Zuko in B1,

He was KOed for an entire minute there.

and I'm probably blanking out on a lot of his other showings as well.

Aang has taken a lot of hard hits, but they tend to knock him out of commission for a while.

He's not noticably behind Korra or Tenzin physically whatsoever.

He's significantly less durable than Korra, maybe not Tenzin.

Not that he'd need to be able to take any hits to win this fight given he is virtually untouchable to his opponents here.

Aang's been tagged in almost every major fight he's been in. He's not untouchable to people with the sort of speed and AOE of Katara and Korra, and he's definitely not untouchable to the two of them working together.

Aang is not solo'ing Korra and Katara together.

But father and son do win.
