Luffy is being considered a Fifth emperor at this point in the story, clearly he’s not as powerful as the others as it stands but at the very least he’s right hand man level and should give Marco or a Current even Older Rayleigh a high diff fight much like he did KAT wether he wins or loses at the very least the fight should be high diff

Pre Skip Luffy drew blood from Garp

In a scene that was clearly meant to be more plot-driven than a legitimate showing of their respective power levels, especially since hurting Garp is hardly consistent for Luffy at this point going by how powerful his grandfather is hyped to be. One could also argue that Garp doesn't possess much of any durability feats to scale Luffy off of to begin with. I wouldn't..but if we're going to scale Luffy then we look at his showings objectively.

Mostly because of a misleading news article that botched several facts of the last arc. Based on what we've seen on panel, Luffy is Yonko Commander level. However the likes of Marco, Rayleigh and Jack are hyped to be the most powerful of them all.

He might be able to hold his own but he's not beating them. One thing Luffy suffers from is his lack of stamina with his Gear 4 transformations. He couldn't beat Cracker without eating his biscuit soldiers, and he had to rest with Brulee's help and was able to replenish his stamina by eating Katakuri's mochi while he went off somewhere to eat his donuts.

@almighty: Rayleigh would destroy Luffy, well probably not destroy, but I can’t see him exterting himself that much. What’s next he would give Marineford Whitebeard a run for his money.

Marco is likely stronger but for now going with Kata

Doffy’s passive birdcage mangened to contain Fujitora an admiral. Luffy stomped Doffy and Katakuri stomped that Luffy.

In-universe Marco would likely win, his brief showings against the Admirals put him above Dogtooth in my opinion, it’s a close fight though.

Katakuri for now. Marco should be at least as strong as Kata, but he doesn't have feats on par with him yet.

Katakuri has more feats but Marco will for sure end up being the stronger one. He was second in command to the most powerful Yonko and the only non Yonko the Gorosei mentioned when discussing BB.

The Katakuri disrespect is real. I really don't get why people are just attaching a high power level to Marco when he hasn't done a single impressive thing so far. Instead of him being magically ten times stronger than Katakuri, it's more likely they'll be near-equals.

Why are people taking MF admirals seriously? They all wrecked whoever they faced the second they decided to.

I still don’t get how people believe that Marco can take on kat when his only feats are his high durability and regen his attack potents is pretty bad seeing how he only kicked back the admirals and did zero damage

Katakuri takes this low to mid diff

The ONLY one who was capable of damaging Marco w/o disabling his DF was Garp.

Katakuri gets negged damage wise, hard diff time wise.

From the little One Piece I dabble in every now and then (still the middle of the skypiea arc) Marco seems to be superior. He took attacks from Admirals and even repelled them at times. Then he supposedly fought Teach and survived. From implications its clear that he's comparable to the admirals, moreso than Katakuri so I'll side with him.

@azureus: not really sense all he did was push the admirals back and tank there attacks thanks to his df other then that his pretty weak I mean his durability beast for sure but damage wise is pretty crappy plus katukuri has insane precog meaning that Marco isn’t gonna touch katukuri unless he wants him to plus he also has his df awakened witch can turn the surrounding area into mochi giving him the home field advantage, there are so many things that katukuri can do but I really don’t fell like listing them all but all you really need to know is that katukuri can suffocate Marco in mochi giving katukuri the win

I’m still amazed Marco doesn’t have a full fight within the series yet, once he gets a solid fight he’ll probably be the superior one. His fight with the admirals might already be enough as he did better than I could see kata doing

Marco doesn't have an Admiral tier offensive power so he wins only after outlasting Katakuri several days later by using his regeneration ability. There is no way Marco can hit Katakuri without having FS as well, not everyone has Luffy's plot armor.

@co-boss: I admit yes katukuri isn’t an admiral lvl character but as a said before katukuri can turn the environment into a “home field advantage” plus his haki is the best and highest form we’ve seen so fair plus also as I said before he has a lot of versatility thanks to his fruit and of the things he can do is make many floating donut shape constructs that can launch a faint haki fist at his opponent plus thanks to his observation haki it’s gonna be hard to touch him so I don’t see why he would do worst against the admirals then Marco I mean I kinda get were your coming from but with all the things he can do and how effectively he can do it he should give any admiral lvl character a good fight

Marco should win a majority. He managed to slightly push the the 3 admirals in on different occasions. He also has flight and Regen with pretty high stamina, Katakuri however has showed better Haki. So Marco wins 7/10 imo.
