I think Zabuza is badly matched with either of them.

Zabuza is a hard counter for Gaara due to his Water Release. But Zabuza is the weakest one here. Going by feats of Part 1, Team 2 takes it. Kakashi hasn't obtained the ability to use MS yet and he only has Raikiri to counter. Kimimaro and Gaara wins this.

Team two would win for sure.

Pre-shippuden? As in anime feats as well? Kakashi and Gaara eclipse them both powerwise but Kakashi probably solos if that's the case.

If Team 1 attacks Team 2 head on, they'd most likely lose, Gaara has more versatility and Kimi more power (even though he only had seconds in his CM2). But if they play their cards smart and finish them quickly enough... Meh, not sure.

Where is Zabuza getting so much water from in a forest that he can use to overwhelm Gaara?

Zabuza doesnt have the water source to over power gaara a d gaara has shiwb to change the landscape with his sand

gaara doesnt carry torrential amounts of sand either, he starts creating it mid battle, plus theres also silent killing. (kimi and gaara wouldnt fair well in a blood mist technique)

@zuriel-el: I know, but Gaara has a limitless supply to draw from whereas Zabuza's water is very much limited.

Silent killing is countered by the sand in his gourd that his mother's spirit inhabits protecting him that he himself doesn't have to be conscious of, he could also just fly out of it. Zabuza can't hurt Kimimaro due to his bone density, especially in his dino mode.

gaara has been bit by ppl slower than zabuza (if we scale from kakashi), i doubt his sand is keeping up here.

And I don't think Kimimaru could hold off both famous Jonin, even without the speed difference.

Team 2 wins for sure. They got Gaara who can easily take out Zabuza and the two gang up on Kakashi and defeat him.

Kakashi is comparable if not faster than base Guy who is significantly faster than weightless Lee. Kakashi in his teen was said to be lightning timer. He will simply blitz Gaara with a Raikiri. End of story.

And Kimmimaro isn't doing anything against hidden mist and silent killing technique of Zabuza.

Team one wins.

Zabuza can't utilize enough water to be a hard counter to Gaara's sand. Gaara can create enough sand to level a forest into a desert. If Kakashi or Zabuza get caught in his sand Tsunami, it's over. Kimimaro is arguably the fastest one here and his unpredictability of his bones would be trouble for Kakashi's sharingan. I say team 2

Kakashi solos. Neither can stop Raikiri, water dragon jutsu, or Shark Bullet.

@cosmic_lantern: You mean got handled by a Drunken Lee. The same Lee who drank an entire bottle of Liquor vs the time he took a small swallow and merely overwhelmed both Gai and Neji. Yeah, Kimimaro is the fastest one here.

Sensei and the Demon Team. Kakashi cut a bolt of lightning so Gaara isn't a great problem even if he's far stronger and versatile than his Chunin version. Hard to tell if they can injure Kimimaro with just some problems. Also is this prime and healthy Kimimaro or sick and near the death Kimimaro?

And just to clarify Gaara sand isn't weak against water. I remember when he combined his sand with a water dragon and lightning during the war, against edo Madara.

Gaara chakra infused sand doesn't work as our regular sand.

i think a lot of people are underestimating kakashi and zabuza here.

dont forget kakashi can also open the first gate, and with him normally being equal with Gai in part on. Gai casually waved aside a full on attack against Lee from Gaara with no gates. this would heavily imply that Gai is WAYYYY out of Gaara's league and that would put kakashi out of his league too. of course this is with no shukaku.

Lee without gates was able to land hits past gaara's sand, and the thing about kakashi is his hits are going to pack a much bigger punch.

Dont forget also that zabuza is a trained and serious killer. the only reason he didn't instant slaughter team 7 was because of kakashi's sharingan and matching his water clones.

if zabuza isn't jobbing, he should in character start with a Miss jutsu and immediately go for the kill on kimimaro.

i think team 2 will take it but it wont be that easy.

@artoriasabysswalker: Kimimaro being the fastest here isn't anywhere near supported. Gaara actually perceived 5th gate lee, Kimimaro was getting trounced on by a lee who was injured and was a far cry from his chuunin exams self as per stated by Gaara.

That would also imply that Base Lee is faster than Kakashi which is an absolutely absurd statement in itself.

@cosmic_lantern: At what point did base Lee rag doll Kimimaro before or after he was drunk? Because if you're talking about Kimimaro having his ass handed to him by drunken Lee then that's an entirely different situation. Lee was so drunk that he couldn't feel pain, nor could Kimimaro predict any of his movements. After sobering up, Kimimaro went right back to slapping him around until Gaara stepped in.

And after that point, Kimimaro was sliding around dodging every move Gaara threw at him. That being said, Kakashi hasn't shown any impressive feats (In part 1. Excluding part 2 altogether) that puts his speed above Kimimaro. At least as far as evading and combat speed goes.

Starting from 4:37 you see Kimimaro flipping around every attack from Gaara. Lee states, and I quote, There is nothing wasted in his movements. His level of Taijutsu is considerable. Thus revealing that even someone such as Lee is severely impressed by Kimimaro's mobility. As far as I can remember, Kakashi had no impressive Speed/Taijutsu feats that put him on Kimimaro's level. I mean hell the guy was bedridden after overuse of the sharingan from his initial fight with Zabuza.

i dont normally like scaling with naruto, but Gai does admit to kakashi being an even match for him and for him being above sasuke still, and sasuke being able to attack and combat Gaara easily pre-tailed beast state that is.

Gai not only intercepted but casually waved aside a enraged attack from Gaara vs lee, when he was going to kill Lee after shattering his arm/leg.

its also easy to say that kakashi >>> un-weighted Lee >> base lee in speed and Kakashi was said to be able to Open the first gate(and has feats confirming it later on) so theres no reason that a Gated Kakashi wouldnt be able to keep up with Gaara or kimimaro.

the only person from this whole group who id say is faster then kakashi, would be 5th gate lee, and thats irrelevant as he was straight up embarrassing Gaara too.
