Kizaru is much faster than anyone Jotaro faced, plus I don't think SP's strength is up to putting him down definitely. This may actually be leaning towards a mismatch.

When? I don't remember any light based stands, certainly none that move as fast as Kizaru, nor none as strong. The fastest was most likely Gray Fly or N'Doul's stand, and that's not good enough.
There's nothing he could do to counter Yasakani no Magatama for example.

The novels are not canon. Manga Jojo and Caesar have done the same anyway.
@karitten: @theorder14: I've watched the anime, and I never received that impression, definitely not in combat. The same goes for what's written in the data above. It's a statement that's never actually actualized against any of the Stands, unless this is at some point after Stardust Crusaders.
For Stardust Crusaders, there wasn't any instance where such a thing was displayed, especially against Stands that are supposedly nowhere near that speed.
Tower of Gray was even faster, yet it was Kakyoin who defeated him, and they were all pretty much able to keep track of the Stand with their eyes. The speed metric used during that entire encounter was bullets as well.
Even putting that aside, it still doesn't have the strength necessary to contend in this case.

Faster than saying "za wardo"? (stopped him at "za wa-") is still nowhere close to being light speed.

Such punches are useless when they don't have the strength needed to put down the opponent, and the High Priestess teeth which were supposedly as hard as diamond had its natural brittleness vulnerability. Hitting a diamond at the right angle would make it crack, even though it's hard, it's still brittle.
Which moment are you referring to for Dio, because that is still not enough on the scale we are talking about.
There is little Jotaro could do for an AOE attack of such a scale.

It's a statement, and I don't put much stock in those if they are never actualized in reality. Kuma's Paw Cannons are also supposedly light speed, but Zoro dodged them easily enough while bruised and battered.
And my second point was that even if SP can hit him, it can't do nearly enough damage to matter. SP doesn't have the necessary strength feats. A simple road roller was hard enough to demolish. We are talking about people who kick around several tons like child's play.

But that's exactly the issue. The human eye has kept up with that speed and even faster. Tower of Gray was faster than SP, yet Kakyoin was able to keep up with it.
The alternative is that every Stand user is FTL which makes no sense. Heck, it is impossible to see FTL because the eye needs light to visualize objects. Kakyoin did not have that issue.

It's not talk, it's an autor statement. Word of god you know? so, your opinion on that topic doesn't matter at all, nobody is going to take your word over Araki's.

Dio's Stand also had that title, but look how that ended up. Like I said, title's don't mean much if they are not actualized.
Also, if SP has feats beyond watch you mentioned for Jolyne, feel free to show them, as well as that for Jolyne. What was the context?

But Kakyoin is faster than both because he was able to react to Tower of Gray which was the fastest. See the issue here? Statements are staements until actualized. Like I said, the authors can say whatever they want, that Batman could use a single kick to kill a Kryptonian, but until actualized, it ain't so. Unless you want to argue the alternatives that I already mentioned, that all the Stardust Crusaders can see FTL, that Kuma's Paw Cannon's are actually as fast as light, meaning that Zoro is faster than light.

Nice try guys, but it's clear I'm not even wanking Kizaru. I wouldn't even say that Kizaru himself is as fast as light. I am arguing that Jotaro has shown nothing anywhere close to that, and that the facts do not add up if you make that assertion. I am actually willing to debate this if you are not just going to resort to "the author said so, so it must be so." If you are not going to use actual showings here, I'll show myself out.

I actually have Cruncyroll up right now and looking through the episodes (with still nothing much to back up your assertions). The anime has only reached Stardust Crusaders, so if there are feats in latter parts to back up your points, provide them please.
