John Rambo vs Jason Todd

Scenario: Taking a page off from the second Rambo film

Ex-Special Forces soldier John Rambo is sent by Colonel Sam Trautman to track down and kill antihero vigilante Jason Todd/Red Hood in exchange for full pardon/freedom.

Rules

• Bloodlust/Fight to the Death
• 3 hours prep for Rambo (2 used to study Todd's history/abilities back at base)
• 1 hour prep for Todd (No knowledge of Rambo's history/abilities)
• Composite versions
• Rambo is searching for Todd within a 15 mile section in the jungles of Vietnam
• They start on opposite sides of a river that separates the two within this 15 mile section

Rambo gets:

• 3 throwing knives
• 3 M18A1 claymores, 3 M112 Demolition blocks of C4
• 4 frag grenades/4 semtex grenades/1 smoke grenade
• Composite bow with a quiver of 25 arrows
• SCAR-H with 5 reload clips
• Flamethrower with a single tank of gas (5 uses)
• Kevlar vest
• Thermal scope
• H2H with Bowie knife/composite entrenching tool if necessary

Todd gets:

• 1 tomahawk
• 2 Bouncing Betty's
• 2 semtex grenades/1 frag grenade/2 flashbangs
• Barrett .50 cal with 4 rounds
• Dual Scorpions with 4 reload clips
• RPG launcher with 1 round
• Kevlar vest
• Binoculars
• Pure H2H if necessary

@redhood_jaytodd: Todd takes both rounds easy. But you said in round 2 they are "out of character"...what exactly do you mean?

@jtmac005: Out of character means they are not acting like their usual selves. They would do things that they wouldn't do if they were in character. Ex. if Superman is out of character, then he would likely resort to dirty tactics, cheating, and trash talk. Something that is out of character for Supes

Damn, I'm surprised some think this is a mismatch. I honestly thought it would be a close fight in both rounds. Hmm, suggestions on how to make more fair, cause I think this was fair enough for me. I know Rambo is a one man army that Jason Todd shouldn't be underestimating.

@redhood_jaytodd: I think the phrase you're looking for is "morals off". Characters like Rambo and Jason Todd, their characteristics are so violent and bloodthirsty that making them out of character would make them...more tame? You see what I'm trying to say?

Is Rambo composite? Cause if he is Jason misses every single one of his shots that he fires.

But without Rambo being composite he won't last long.

Even kid Jason would beat Rambo.

When I entered this thread, I was at least expecting the fight to take place in the jungle.

Since that clearly isn't the case and Rambo doesn't have access to any weapons, Jason wins this easily.

Give me a minute to revise and edit the thread cause I hate mismatches and spites.

@thedarkpaladin: Rambo doesn't have unlimited equipment. He and Todd are limited to what I stated. I'll specify how Rambo uses the 12 hours.

He doesn't need unlimited equipment. Remember what he did during the first movie with just knife?

@thedarkpaladin: Lol yeah it's been awhile since I've seen the first one, but I did watch the fourth prior to making this battle. But I should revisit the first three though. I edited their prep times and how they use it to make things less vague.

Jason Todd. This isn't even a fair fight

I really don't get how in the Rambo vs Punisher threads, people seem to indecisive on who would win, but in this thread, everyone seems to think that Todd stomps Rambo, yet in Red Hood vs Punisher threads, people think that it could easily go either way. I'm really confused. I don't think it would be fair if I made Todd unarmed and give Rambo all guns in the jungles.

@redhood_jaytodd: It's close if both are armed with range weapons. The only scenario where Rambo should get stomped is H2H.

@lunacyde: Unless Rambo gets a Bowie Knife/composite entrenching tool to use in H2H vs Todd who must only use his limbs, right?

@redhood_jaytodd: Yeah, then maybe. Rambo is a tough SOB, but he is low on H2H feats. He doesn't often face opponents in straight up H2H.

Two things 1. In the gear section you say C4 how much C4? Also (I THINK you mean grenades) you say Semtex Semtex what?

The reason that Jason would own this is the Barrett sniper rifle. All he'd really have to do is climb a tree and wait it out (Rambo doesn't know he has it) the second Jason sees him anywhere near the river (even if there's a little canopy inthe way) THOOM, dead Rambo with a HUGE hole in him.

@heroup2112: it says 3 C4s. You didn't see that? And no, I wrote 4 Semtex for Rambo, and 2 Semtex for Todd. Hmm, I wonder if it says it on your screen the way it says it on mine because I put it like that and I was surprised that you didn't see it the same way I did.

@redhood_jaytodd: I saw the same thing, it's cool. What I'm wondering is what amount of C4 do they have 3 of? And you say 4 Semtex for Rambo and 2 Semtex forTodd. what I was wondering was what amount, weight wise is the Semtex. Different amounts of C4 and Semtex produce bigger or smaller explosions. For instance...if Jason had 3, 4 pound bricks of C4 he could reasonably throw it across the river and deforest about an acre. All the trees would be blown down and all the vegitation would be blown to poop. One pound could be set off to blast anything within fifty meters and leave the trees around , more or less, intact (except maybe the one it's hidden near)
