Jim Hopper (Stranger Things) vs Billy Butcher (The Boys)

I mean, I dont think we saw Butcher actually fight even if it is implied.

I take the Butcher. he was able to go toe to toe with translucent who has super powers and Hopper's best hand to hand fights come against the Russian who is huge but still human.

Also Butcher seems like he will fight much dirtier and will use a crowbar.

@eichholtz: He didn’t go toe to toe with Translucent, he got his a** handed to him for 99% of the fight except for the brief moment when he landed a couple of punches. He ran Translucent over with a car and tried to beat him with a crowbar and still lost badly to an unarmed man.

Furthermore, Translucent didn’t show any speed or strength that is superhuman (or even peak human) level, he simply had invulnerability and invisibility.

I’m taking Hopper, even though Butcher will fight dirty

@cregan_stark: Hopper hasn't shown any real physical feats other than fighting the Russian and just sucker punching people.

Based off what I have seen Butcher will fight dirty and take him down. it is a close fight though.

@eichholtz: He did utterly stomp a Russian soldier (not Grigori) in the Mirror House, it was fairly impressive. He's also a war vet (Vietnam) so there's that. He has some serious resilience and endurance too, given the amount of punishment he can take and still keep fighting. Grigori was at least peak human in pure strength given his feat from the 1st episode of season 3, when he lifted a man by the throat with one hand and held him in the air until he died, so taking so many hits from him without going down is a good feat for Hopper.

I haven't watched "The Boys" yet though so I'm not commenting on the fight, just giving a bit more input on Hop.

Butcher hasn’t really shown anything in the way of combat. Hopper on the other hand has had some impressive showings

@cregan_stark: Translucent was an invisible human. I don't care if Translucent was DISABLED, the fact Billy was able to beat him was EXTREMELY impressive.

Being an invisible person should give you an automatic win against a normal person, if anything the beating Butcher took at first was very impressive.

Plus the second Billy could see him the fight became very one-sided in his favor.

Hopper has impressive showings, but he has nothing that compares to that.

Hopper seems to be a lot larger and stronger though, but if it was down to pure skill, I'd give it to Butcher for sure.
