lol seems like it, we are using the comics yes and so far the word has worked in preacher but no one in there can break the fourth wall like DP.
Custer could be prone to make a mistake depending on his use of the word. In the comic custer actually uses the word pretty infrequently, and even more infrequently he uses it in a lethal manner. He often speaks in confusing commands, like saying "EAT IT" to get the assistant of Lord Jesus to blow his brains out. This type of command could lend itself to Deadpool's humor, like if Jesse yelled "Eat It" deadpool would say "Eat what? I really want to eat something but i'm not sure what?" and on and on. Now that is really stretching it, but everyone has forgotton how to negate jesse custer's word; Putting your hand over your ears (Remember how featherstone evades custer's word). If they are both aware of eachother and eachother's respective powers, Deadpool wins easily by using something standard issue to armed forces that carry explosives; earplugs
