Shaak Ti wins in both rounds, IMHO.

In the first round, Ti should win because of her superior duelling feats; holding her own against Grievous after a battle, almost beating Marek etc. Luminara has failed to defeat Ventress and she doesn't have that many feats, so:

I wouldn't understand this.

Bariss Offee isn't as powerful as either of the two in either offensive Force Powers or lightsaber duelling, and Luminara's Force abilities aren't impressive. Shaak Ti wins once again.

Hm? Last I checked Shaak Ti wasn't a master of lightsaber dueling, she was more tuned with the Force then anything else. Not to mention, Luminara is a master of Form 3 which makes a jedi near invincible. I can give you Force Powers for Ti, but not dueling..she couldn't even fight Vader and ran away from the temple when it was in need. Round 1 its just straight up dueling, which Ti is only proficient in.

But Nova, since you seem to always jump on me about anything SW opinion related i'll say Shaak Ti wins both rounds.

Shaak Ti wins both rounds.

Better dueling feats, more raw Force power and wisdom.

Shaak Ti wins the duel through superior dueling feats.

Shaak Ti wins the all out battle through superior dueling feats, force powers and knowledge and influence over their surroundings.

@Wolfrazer:Well, you checked incorrectly. Shaak Ti was a master duelist, she was well versed in multiple forms, including I and III. Plus, regardless of the forms, we base it on feats. There are levels of mastery.

I don't jump on anyone. I just happen to go past and question things I doubt.

I agree with this. Shaak Ti after all, is second only to Willrow Hood in dueling skill.

Umm... Shaak Ti wins both.

Luminara simply doesn't have enough (impressive) feats to contend with Ti at all, so its definitely a in for Ti in round 1. Round 2 is still Ti's win, Barriss isn't anything particularly special either.

Round 1: Shaak Ti. She's better than Luminara. She managed to hold, while super tired, a fresh General Grievous, who had knowledge on her form, while she was completely foreign to his hybridized, twenty strikes per second style. When Grievous eventually disarmed Shaak, she managed to use Deflection to keep the blow from killing her. Don't know if Grievous kicked her or the Deflection threw her back. Also, she managed to fight evenly with Starkiller for a while, who, if he abuses his Force power, is one of the best in the galaxy. In a saber duel only, though, not defeating Starkiller kinda means you suck. And Shaak, to my knowledge, drived Galen back for a while. She also was in the Council, for seven years, something Luminara didn't manage to achieve. Even that featless dude, Coleman Kcaj, got on the Council. As well as Coleman Trebor before him. Luminara lost to Asajj Ventress in like, 45 seconds? One minute? And, with Ahsoka, didn't help things out that much. Luminara's also kinda boring. Shaak Ti's boring, mostly, but she redeems herself when she fights and stuff. Luminara has that annoying voice too. Round 2 might tip the balance slightly in favor of the team, because of numbers and teamwork, but Shaak should still win, IMO.

@nightwingiscool: WHAT ? Superior athlet NO! Luminara is a WAY better athlet. And you guys are all one-sided shaak ti couldnt fight with one eye vs. a freaked out Ventress. and after all Luminara is a MASTER of Soresu (Defense) she is better at her Defense than Shaak Ti at her attack.

Luminara Both Rounds, with Barriss it is a stomp

@thesithmaster: OMG you are such a fanboy Haha says that shaak wins beacuse you don't like the voice from lumi ? and also if you not know it: Luminara should become a member of the council but didn't want to! so she says: no thanks. And also because of your shaak vs grievous fight. Tired ? No one cares

.

.

Luminara fights a freaked out ventress with just one eye ;) and we all know (from comics and TCW) that ventress is a better duelist than Grievous (and grievous would not stand a little chance against a freaked out ventress.

.

And Luminara's Defense Skills are better than Shaak Ti's Attack Skills

.

So atleast Luminara is the Superior Fighter here.

If someone here is a fanboy, it definitely is you.

That was a simple side remark, hardly the bulk of my argument. Nice to see you're so salty about it and take your time to counter it.

and also if you not know it: Luminara should become a member of the council but didn't want to!

Show me a quote, canonical statement, or comic/novel in which this event happens.

And also because of your shaak vs grievous fight. Tired ? No one cares

Yes, people care that Shaak is tired. She was drenched in sweat after being ambushed by the Separatists and fleeing from thousands of droids shooting at her like crazy. Grievous was fresh, fighting with a hybridized, exclusive style the Jedi knew nothing about, and Grievous instantly recognized their styles. Shaak was also terrified to a degree, seeing how her Jedi companions were being dropped one by one by this mysterious, 4 meter tall reptilian cyborg spinning two lightsabers like crazy. Dooku says it: Grievous needs to have fear, surprise and intimidation on his side to fight the best of the Jedi. That's why he is such a "coward." When he does not have said elements, Dooku advised him to flee. He had all of those in his fight with Shaak.

Luminara fights a freaked out ventress with just one eye ;)

Being blinded or half-blinded really doesn't matter for Jedi. Dooku competently held his own against Ventress and two top notch Nightsisters (Karis and Naa'leth) that according to Talzin were the best warriors of the entire clan. Kanan, after Maul literally cut off his eyes, still managed to parry four strikes and defeat Maul. Granted, it was PIS, but he still managed to enter a state of Oneness. Rahm Kota was blind, but that didn't stop him from blitzing two Royal Guards after getting Sidious's lightsaber from the Dark Lord himself. She only lasted forty-five seconds to one minute, against a Pre Prime Ventress.

and we all know (from comics and TCW) that ventress is a better duelist than Grievous

What? Ventress required an amp from a DS nexus to beat the nerfed up version of Grievous (TCW)! Before having little of his formal training under Tyranus, Grievous managed to move faster than Ventress, who required use of the Force to push him away. Then she immediately got choked.

Ventress clearly sees Grievous's shadow, but the general is too fast for her, hitting her with the thing.

Grievous keeps smacking Ventress in the face, even while dodging blaster fire from Durge. Grievous still neglects usage of a lightsaber.

Even with her lightsabers acitvated, Asajj loses, and is thrown against a wall by Grievous, who is fighting Durge in this precise moment.

To land anything resembling a solid hit on Grievous, Ventress needs cheap-shotting to be involved.

Grievous immediately gets up, however, putting an experssion of pure fear in poor Asajj's face.

Then Grievous chokes her before she can react, and then Dooku reveals this was a test to see who would become Supreme Commander of the Droid Armies, giving the title to Grievous due to his victory over Durge and Ventress, the other two contestants.

Dooku, an unbiased character that trained both, says that Grievous is better.

He [Dooku] had a meeting scheduled with the formidable General Grievous, who was even more powerful than Ventress, but a great deal less interesting as a dinner-table conversationalist.

Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

And Grievous usually performs better against Obi-Wan than Ventress does. Ventress has the style edge over Kenobi, since Makashi is good for dealing with Soresu, but Grievous is a style disadvantage because Soresu is developed to defend against berserker offensives such as Grievous's.

In this video, Kenobi and Grievous only clash for six seconds (0:34 to 0:40). After SIX SECONDS, Grievous grabs Kenobi and throws him around. In mere seconds, Grievous has the upper hand. Kenobi has to resort to TK to get the General away from him.

Here, Grievous has his MagnaGuards, but one dies before the general enters the fight. The MagnaGuard pushes Kenobi back, but he dies. The real 1v1 starts at 2:01, and Obi has a phrik alloy staff to help him. Grievous, however, makes short work of the staff. Kenobi leaps over Grievous after a few clashes, but gets kicked. Kenobi keeps getting pressed and pushed back by Grievous, but uses a MagnaGuard body to throw the general off balance. Again, Obi-Wan has a discarded and forgotten object as an Ex Machina to survive.

Ventress leaps in, and at 1:18 the fight starts. Kenobi mocks Ventress and is clearly in control, although he's somehow disarmed. Even without a weapon, Kenobi dodges easily and throws Ventress back. He gets his weapon back, and they continue the duel. Ventress is attacking, while Kenobi is effortlessly defending and not putting much effort. He gets kicked back at 2:10, but dodges and lands a minor push on Ventress. Kenobi, only keeping the duel going as a distraction for Anakin and Ahsoka to escape with the Huttlet, goes up into the Temple, forcing Ventress to chase him and forget Skywalker. Ventress then leaps at Kenobi at 2:40, keeping her offensive, but at 2:47 he pushes her back a considerable distance after a bladelock. Ventress then joins her sabers, and Kenobi keeps distracting her. At 2:56, Anakin has fled, so Obi-Wan's purpose is accomplished. At 3:01, she attacks, and the duel continues. At 3:07, which is only six seconds later, her saberstaff is cut in two, forcing her to get back into Jar'Kai. At 3:10, they get into a bladelock, and at 3:16 Kenobi disarms Ventress of one of her blades. Outmatched, Ventress calls a Vulture Droid fighter to come pick her up. She attempts, as a last resort, to go at Kenobi, but gets pushed back again at 3:25. Against Ventress, Kenobi clearly wins, but he's been shown to be on the losing end against Grievous.

And Luminara's Defense Skills are better than Shaak Ti's Attack Skills

One of Shaak Ti's preferred styles is Makashi, which is good against Luminara's Soresu, which puts Luminara at even more of a disadvantage. Shaak Ti definitly wins this.
