Thor can't react in time to call it back. Yes it was an Asgardian weapon, nowhere near as powerful as Stormbreaker.

@xzone: Zod is faster and stronger and much more superior to Hela. Stormbreaker does not have the feats to pierce a kryptonian at the minute. DCEU Kryptonians have resistance to electrical energy as well.

@narutobleachfan: I say zod stomps mainly due to the speed gap, without it it’s as you said, He wins in a semi good fight, also Zod far superior flight control and movement are a big factor, Thor gets completely trashed under 30 seconds or so in an all Out fight like here, zod is basically morals OFF Superman for god sake granted not as strong but pretty close and it’s a lot more than needed to stomp Thor

That was several time bigger than the world engine and about equal to the nuke.

Sokovia was also 2 KM wide, so no it's not even close to the nuke feat.

The pressure, heat, and shockwave are millions of times greater than anything Zod could ever hit Thor with.

Surviving a complete city busting explosion is > A nuke.

nukes don't vaporize 2km of bedrock.

From what we saw from Thor in the later films, Zod could replicate, and like I already said Zod could simply just evade the attack.
