Tony can't use repulsors, unibeams, lasers or any projectile/energy weapon

Tony can use the nanobots for striking/piercing weapons and to heal

Who wins?

@georgewbush: This will be close at first, but Tony is screwed in the end. Symbiotes can heal from nearly any injury in a matter of seconds. Nothing that Ironman does is going to have any long lasting consequences on Riot. On the other hand, there are only so many pieces of technology that Tony can use before he runs out like he did in the movie. Riot wins eventually.

Iron Man blows him to bits

symbiots are weak to fire. Plasma blasts from iron man would harm him and he would just blow him with missiles.

He cant do anything to iron man either, yes he is fast and could tag him etc. But he does not have strenght or capabilties to harm iron man. So iron man.

It was shown that the Symbiote can be physically removed. Tony can probably figure that out. His IW armor is crazy durable as well

Tony wins. He is stronger, faster, and more durable. He has plasma bolts, and missiles. He is also more than smart enough to learn fire, sound, and physical removal are his options to defeat Riot.

@mister_surreal: Aren’t symbiotes weak to fire?Iron mans plasma blasts and missiles should be able to damage riot.Also his suit only ran out of resources due to Thanos destroying a majority of it.

Riot. He was very impressive.

IW Ironman tanked a rock flying at him at reentry speeds and no sold it. So impact wise his armor is much more durable than Riot. Nothing in the OP suggest that Tony can't use Sonic attacks either and with Friday on board he could come up with that tactic before Riot can even attempt to hurt him.

IW Ironman was only stabbed by his own weapon which is a nanotech blade so likely a nanometer across is 0.0000001 centimeters thick.. its thin as heck and just as strong. Riot has shown no blade that thin. And Riot has not show strength strong enough to really destroy his armor either.

@mister_surreal: Oh thx.

On topic:

Tony could learn Riot's weakness (sound) and abuse it to win. He hits way harder and is much more durable. Tony also had nanite infused liquid nitrogen in his suite to close a breach in the space ship. He can freeze Riot if he can't kill/separate the host, which he should easily be able to do.

What stops tony from ripping riot's host apart and don't forget tony also has that freezing thing which he used two time.

Tony kills the host...thus killing Riot...with a pierce attack that manged to even hurt Thanos...it is not as if Riot is more durable than him by any means...they both have regenerative capabilities after all and Tony can seperate the host from Riot at well with his sheer strength...

It's worth noting that Thanos didn't stab Tony through his armor so I don't think there is really any indication of the suit's piercing resistance. Tony was depleting the nanites in his suit so there were gaps in his armor. Thanos stabbed him through a gap

@waking_dreamer: I don't know tbh, lol. Even without it he wins, Tony just has to keep a distance, and their attack speed isn't very high tbh.

@thealmightykue:

He was out of the fight for far too long for it to be considered tanking. After he was hit with that, Doctor Strange fought Thanos 1-on-1 and Iron Man was nowhere to be seen. He did not tank it, otherwise he wouldn’t have been out of the fight for minutes.

Avatar image for thealmightykue

@crunch5481: Tanking is if you take damage. He does not possess monstrous strength, so getting out from under the rock is not a durability feat but a strength feat.

@thealmightykue:

What? Tanking is not taking damage. Tanking is being practically undamaged by an attack. Like when Venom gets shot with bullets, he tanks them.

@crunch5481: And again... show me the damage. Being pinned under something is not damage.

Avatar image for shadyxv

@waking_dreamer: i don't think so, tony didn't use it on thanos though so it might not be considered as a projectile weapon.

@thealmightykue:

With that logic Superman tanked the train in MOS which I think most people would agree with, that he did not.

In fact with that logic Superman tanked almost everything since the only time you can show any damage on him is when he coughed up blood on the Kryptonians spaceship in MOS, when he was hit with the nuke, when he was scratched by the kryptonite spear and when he was impaled by Doomsday. But that’s just plain wrong just because we can’t see any damage on him doesn’t mean he tanked something.

Avatar image for thealmightykue
#37 Posted by TheAlmightyKue (216 posts) - - Show Bio

@crunch5481: What is your definition of Tanked.
Because apparently showing no injury or sign of damage doesn't mean tanked for you.

Because as we see Iron Man was unharmed by the meteor in any real way. His suit was undamaged, and he was unhindered.
