Healthy Itachi

Who wins?

Zabuza is a non-factor, but Itachi vs Kisame is a closer fight than most probably think.

Points in favor of Kisame:

1. He easily has the strength advantage and is as fast as Itachi if not a little bit faster scaling from Bee/Guy.
2. Samehada might be able to absorb amaterasu and slice through susanoo since both are chakra-based.
3. He knows Itachi is a visual genjutsu specialist and would avoid eye contact.

Points in favor of Itachi:

1. He's much smarter than Kisame and could still probably catch him in a genjutsu like he's done several times against others who thought they could avoid/release it.
2. Sharingan precognition counters Kisame's fighting style pretty hard

Itachi but it's close because Kisame is already pretty close to him. Adding Zabuza makes the fight a little closer but not quite enough to give the duo the win.

Zabuza is literally canon fodder to Itachi. It's possible that Itachi's first partner when he joined the Akatsuki could defeat Zabuza. Hidden Mist jutsu helps a bit. But it's nothing that Itachi can't deal with. Zabuza would be no match for the Kakashi that Itachi destroyed in a moment. I don't Kisame is going to go out of his way to protect Zabuza for Itachi either. Kisame would see him as dead weight.

How does Itachi deal with the mist exactly ?

@kgb725: His Sharingan really negates anything that Zabuza could do. I don't know if he could see through the mist with it. But Zabuza has to go in close to kill his opponent. His water Dragon Jutsu gets completely enveloped and vaped by Itachi's level of Fireball jutsu. It also takes him too long to do (in comparison to Itachi) and he needs a source of water to use it. Now Kisame could give him that source. But the Hidden Mist Swordsman had horrible team chemistry. They all hated each other. So I doubt they'd be coordinated enough. Kisame would probably let Itachi kill him so he can 1v1 Itachi like he's always wanted. Anyways, he cannot possibly move fast enough to blitz Itachi who is much faster than him. Even with the Mist. All Itachi has to do is react or even just destroy Zabuza's sword and the battle is over between the two.

Kakashi couldnt see anything and needed Pakkun and the boys to catch him. You're under estimating the mists effectiveness

Kisame has advantages over Itachi in several aspects.

-physical strength (Itachi without susanoo)

-durability (Itachi without susanoo)

-stamina

-chakra

-not suffering debuff

- elemental advantage

- AoE

-advantage of territory with suiton

- chakra drainage

-regeneration

kisame alone is able to beat Itachi with Zabuza together kisame becomes the favorite

I didn't say that Kisame was superior in all aspects, nor did I say that Kisame would win 1VS1. I said that Kisame is able to win Itachi evidently Kisame does not stomp. HAXs, intelligence and Susanoo give chances for Itachi too.

About speed Kisame is able to react Killer Bee and Guy (gates)

Kisame alone can take 5/10 over Itachi.

Itachi should pull a majority win. Zabuza should be able to help more than people think with things like water dragon jutsu and forcing Itachi to clear mist using fireball jutsu. He definitely can't be ignored. Even more so with Kisame creating vast amounts of water.

Kisame and Zabuza have great synergy, Zabuza is in fact benefiting greatly from Kizame's suitons

Kisame can almost solo.

17 year old Itachi was possibly weaker than the 21 year old sick Itachi we saw in Part 2 as in Part 1 avoided picking a fight with Jiraiya that his 21 y/o self would certainly win.

Kisame here is presumably the one at the time of his death so hes in his mid 30's and is familiar working with Itachi for years by now, He can arguably solo.

lol at Kisame soloing Itachi. He has no defense for Tskuyomi or Totsuka. Both one shot.

Kisame & Zabuza might beat sick Itachi high dif if you give Zabuza knowledge of Itachi's MS.

If it's healthy Itachi, Zabuza gets taken out pretty quickly & it becomes Itachi vs Kisame 1 v 1.

This a theoretically healthy Itachi.

I actually agree with this.

Itachi obviously stomps Zabuza on his own but Kisame & Zabuza have a variety of water style combos they play off each other with.

Kakashi and Zabuza canceled each other out here. Kakashi only really won this fight for plot development. Like, think about it. Rewatch the fight. Everything Kakashi did Zabuza also did and vise versa=cancelling each other out. There were even plenty of times were Zabuza caught Kakashi in a trap and it required a great deal thought and timing to dwindle out.

Remember, the only thing Itachi has over this Kakashi is

1)Susanoo

2)Better Genjutsu

Zabuza alone gave Kakashi a run for his money, this is Kakashi with the plot on his side

Couple this with Kisame, it's gonna be interesting. Remember, Kisame was supposed to be almost as skilled as Itachi. If Itachi was to score a 10/12, Kisame would be a 9/12. You don't think Zabuza can fill in that blank? I think he can(reference 4:50).

Kisame solos. But might as well brace for the fanboy attack. Even though it’s as clear as day he is peer to Itachi in the shinobi world and has him completely outclassed in both power and stamina.

Kisame knows better than to fall for his genjutsu, he knows all his tricks. Itachi doesn’t have much chakra so he dies pretty fast given the fact that Kisame loves creating tsunami level water jutsu

Itachi is way over his head here his only hope would be covert attacks and trickery but not happening.

Itachi wins , zabuza doesn't add much to this battle
