She is one of the top 10 Strongest Fairy Tail Characters or probably even top 5.

In destructive capability She is above Itachi. She can casually drop a Meteor from space

She also has a Dragon Form that can break nearly if not all human bones with one hit. She is also really haxxy.

She is the master of enchantment. She can enchant almost anything e.g. Enchant Cloths with explosions instantly. She also has other feats too. Just read or watch the series

But I doubt she can win here. She can get caught in by Genjutsu before she even realizes it. Or Totsuka can Seal her away. Itachi Also has Amatarasu which would be big problem for Irene.

genjutsu rules still exist so people please use them, genjutsu is not some magical insta kill move, its a low class magic used since SOS in fairy tail and Fairy tail Genjutsu are not restricted as heavily as Naruto Genjutsu either, genjutsu/illusions used in naruto has a major flaw and that is fluctuation of charkra, no matter what illusion be it from Itachi, Madara it can all be broken by a mere tap from another ninja as seen with Sakura and Onoki, any character that has transformations or can absorb energy externally is semi immune to naruto genjutsu.

Irene can fodderize Celestial Spirit King, MArd geer and a bunch of other wizards with only a fraction of her power, all of these characters are so above itachi is like throwing a egg at a wall, Irene enhance her own sprigan 12 to the point Brandish magic was nulled, 1% of her magic was enough to defeat a Natsu tier character.

the only thing itachi can do here is be lucky enough that his NLF totsuka blade actually works, everything else is useless, everything itachi throws at irene woul either get tanked, slap aside, or she one shots him and his susanoo with a common blow.

irene common slap literally broke most of erza bones, a erza much stronger than the one that literally tanked a sword slash that cut through a city with 1 arm, a common stomp from a fodder Dragon is much stronger than non perfect Susanoo.

Her magic revolves around enchantment, and she can, for example, enchant the air or clothes into an explosion, increase the temperature high enough to melt rock, turn people into mice, can fly etc. She's also strong enough to overpower and break the bones of a character with large island physicals.

She's wayyyyyy out of Itachi's weight class.

@woodward: Disregarding genjutsu arguments, yeah with those feats she would lolstomp Itachi.

Susanno round she loses no contest. He hits her once and she's sealed. Before that Itachi needs his genjutsu to work and it'll probably work. Casual genjutsu then follow up with tsukiyomi for a GG.

Irene has no resistance to Tsukiyoumi.

Look Itachi is one of the strongest Genjutsu users in Naruto series with the exception of Madara, Rinnegan Sasuke and Shisui.

He can cast a Genjutsu by just pointing a finger at someone. Thats already a win for Itachi before Irene even does a thing

Itachi can deflect almost anything Irene throws at her with Yata Mirror and don't forget that Totsuka Blade is a one shot as well. Amaterasu will burn Irene to a crisp.

I know Irene has more destructive power but Itachi can end the fight quick enough before Irene does cast anything powerful e.g. Genjutsu, Tsukiyoumi, Totsuka Blade, Amaterasu etc.

On a serious note though, Itachi one shots with genjutsu or she one shots with her superior strength. Considering Itachi starts with genjutsu. he takes it.

If Itachi has Killer Intent and thinks she is a big threat than Tsukiyoumi GG. Or Totsuka Blade but Genjutsu would be the most reliable choice.

If Itachi doesn't go all out from the Beginning then Irene has a chance to win.

If this is In-Character, I'm not to sure if Itachi would right off the bat start off with Tsukuyomi, because Mangekyou Genjutsu + are the only genjutsu that work on people without chakra. So if Itachi recognizes she is immensely powerful (which she is), then if he instantly starts off with Tsukuyomi, he wins. But if he does not, it just comes down to if he can get Tsukuyomi off before Irene kills him. For Round 2, just depends if Itachi can hit Irene with the Totsuka Blade.

Does she have a counter to genjutsu? If so she should stomp.

She got tricked by a simple Mavis mirage aka visual illusion. Something laughable even for Academy Kid-Shinobi.

So, in other words, nope. Let alone that MS Genjutsu not only affects the 5 senses and the brain but are also completely on another level compared with Basic Genjutsu. And Tsukuyomi is tiers above MS Genjutsu, since Itachi has control of time, space and all substance of Tsukuyomi Dreamscape...and most importantly Tsukuyomi can kill.

The only way to break free from Tsukuyomi is --- "another Sharingan user with the same Itachi's blood" aka Sasuke.

That's why Sasuke managed to escape from Tsukuyomi (also cuz Itachi wasn't serious at all during that fight, was mostly blind and was suffering a deadly illness).

She scales above Laxus, Erza, Jellal who all have broke illusions.

It's Itachi who needs feats that his Genjutsu could actually harm Irene, when it was broken by Hebi Sasuke and failed to kill Kakashi whose durability is that of a glass canon.
