Poll Is MCU Thor Technically FTL? (49 votes)

yes he's FTL 14%
nope, still the same slowdinson 63%
he's actually MFTL with stormbreaker 22%

since he can travel through the bifrost at will with stormbreaker?

could we possibly see him teleporting in combat in avengers 4?

Bifrost is ftl, or at least allows for travel between distances that is ftl. Thor himself isn't.

The Bifrost is but Thor is not. Unless we see him use it in battle to teleport around

I mean the Bifrost is but that isn't really relevant unless he is trying to travel somewhere. And is totally irrelevant to the battle forums.

Off Topic: Thinking on it I do wonder how he knew to teleport to Wakanda. I can't think of any reason for him to know that Thano's army would be at Wakanda.

Maybe the axe inherited Heimdall's eyes?

Heimdall knew to send Hulk to Doctor Strange for whatever reason.

Perhaps when you have access to the bifrost, you have some cosmic awareness. That's how I see it.

The choices are bad. He is not FTL by any stretch. The bifrost can transport people at FTL speeds, but that is like a human riding in a jet and asking is the human faster than sound.

I mean sure...but by the same definition, a human fighter pilot is supersonic, and ISS astronauts are hypersonic.

It’s a bit meaninless, because the only application seen so far is travel, or bfr if you assume it can replicate what Heimdall did.

Am I crazy or did Thor have an Orange Eye when arriving in Wakanda versus when he first got it from Rocket?

Technically doesn't the bifrost open and Einstein-Rosen bridge aka a wormhole?

So he's not traveling FTL necessarily he's teleporting? Someone with an advanced degree in physics help me out.

The way the movie cuts I don't think he could possibly have time to do that.

The eye that rocket gave him is orange-light brownish. It might have been hard to see on the ship depending on which movie theater you watched the movie in.

I watched it on a imax screen. I was able to clearly see it when he first popped it in.
