Would like to answer but i dont realy know much about the second one.

Danny Rand wins in a close fight.

Rayne slows time and tears all his limbs off.

Could someone drop a knowledge bomb on my about Rayne?

If not I'll go do some research because I love debating for Danny Rand.

Extremely strong/agile, can insta-drain people/vampires of their blood to insta-heal and power-up, has badass swords, tons of skill, badass guns.

Also, INSANELY FAST. In-game she has multiple triggered powerups she can use to enhance her speed -- they start off just slowing time (slowing her as well, but allowing more control/reflex time for the player) and eventually lead to slowing time but letting her go at full-speed (which is already really quick).

I only played a little bit of the second game (it was too hard for me) so I'm not in a position to debate for her, but she's darn badass.

She has to bite them. Traditional vampire stuff but from what I remember of the game, she drains 'em like Johnny Depp did in Dark Shadows -- super high-suction power slurping that leaves them husks in seconds.

Actually she has a Ghost Drain where Rayne sends forth an astral projection of herself to feed on a target while she keeps fighting. It basically directly drains the persons life force itself.

Also, her first speed ability is perception. She speeds up her perception of the world around her to enable her to react more quickly as everything else appears to slow down. The 2nd was labeled Super Speed, where she moves at speeds several times that of her base. The last ability is to manipulate time to slow it down to a crawl.

@reikai: Right, sweet. Like I said I didn't even play it that far, got to one stage and just couldn't beat it. No checkpoints meant doing the level from start 500 times in a row and I wasn't up for it.

I thought Rayne's time stop power was a game mechanic?

@blackwind: It was her powers evolving and considering for a while she had a fragment of a vampire god inside of her before it being torn out and she had to face it down and destroy its incarnate form in the first game (it's name being Balthazar), then I wouldn't doubt it much.

@joygirl: I know this is really off topic, but what do you think of Harley Quinn #0 for the New 52? I've heard really good reviews about it, some going as far to say 10/10.

@retconcrisis: I haven't read it yet. I'm terrified to.

@joygirl: I've heard that they did the old Harley justice. Got a whole team of great artists on it in a fourth-wall breaking.

@retconcrisis: Yeah but people are stupid... I'm really afraid I'll hate it and then my last great hope is destroyed.

@foreverevil: @joygirl: I remember now. Rayne also has Beliar's Eye that she absorbed after killing Beliar and the last of those Nazi commanders who were gathering the parts. One of the reasons why Rayne is so powerful is because she came from a strong vampiric bloodline and kept a part of Beliar's power.

Rayne stops/slows time and kills him

Last I checked, Rayne doesn't actually slow nor stop time. She has "dilated perception", which slows her perception of time, and basically she sees everything moving slower, and can react faster thanks to her enhanced speed. Her "Freeze Time" ability also isn't actually a time stopping ability. It is just an enhanced version of her enhanced dilated perception and superspeed, so yeah, all the enemies seem to be pretty much frozen while she does her thing. Against someone who can match Spider-Man level speed, tag speedsters, with the reflexes to dodge multiple supersonic attacks from multiple attackers, those powers may not work so well.

I need to read over the Rayne comics again, and revisit the games to make a decision on this one. This certainly would not be an easy fight for either party.

Pretty sure (although my memory is admittedly not infallible). I have both games at home (I am not there to look at the game manual currently), but I do believe that is how it is described though. Checking the Rayne wiki, it backs up what I am remembering.
