Factions:
The Imperium of Man-Imperial Guard:

vs

The Galactic Republic:-The Clone Army:

No Caption Provided

Rules:

This will be all ground battle only. (air units are fine but space has nothing to do with it)
There will be no Jedi, no Space Marines, no god like figures. This is pure on soldier vs soldier.
All regiments/legions for both prospective armies will be present.
All special troopers that are within the Imperial Guard, and Clone's will be allowed to Join.
All Heroes/prospective leaders are fielded within the battle both former and current from the books, games, T.V shows, etc.
All mechanized units, weapons, and armor of the prospective units all remain the same within the armies that they were given. (These will be the clone Phase 2 armor, weapons etc just to make things less of a headache for the which armor/weapons do they have)

Battle World:

The Fight takes place on the ruins of Mass Effect's Earth.

No Caption Provided

Final battle will be in London:

No Caption Provided

Faction Armies in the Final Battle:

The 501st along with 3 special forces squads (of the debaters choosing)

vs

The best Regiment of the Imperial Guard ( I leave it be to the debater for it is never clear which regiment is the best though one can say all of them are just as good, though imo the 83rd is the best.) With 3 Special Forces units aiding them in the final push.

Who do you think wins, and why?

Pick a more selected spot. Earth is rather large and has plenty of different environments that IG will operate perfectly in

tanith solos.

guys have become so OP its ridicoulus.

> defeating chaos space marines in direct combat

> outstealthing dark elder mandraks

> outbattling chaos space marine cybots 1v1

> B rank psykers in their rank with future sight/clairvoyance

> illusion resistance marksmen

you get what i mean when i say "solo" obviously they dont solo millions upon millions in direct combat. but them infiltrating and taking out the enemy commando structure is a very likely scenario - like in many of their books

^ Earth is far too large a military theater for single Regiments. Better off just saying the UK is the battle location if you want London to be the 'final battle' (not sure how that works out though).

@ravensupreme: B-Ranked psyker isn't in there anymore. After being taken by the Inquisition, he comes back briefly and then is executed 'For Your Own Good'.

@ravensupreme: Uh, no. If you are using a Regiment, it would be the most current version of that Regiment if you are using any means of honesty.

Not every member that has ever died in it. That is dumb. Moreover, he wasn't a part of the regiment anymore.

thought since the OP specified current and former heroes this also includes one-of-a-kind soldiers. not really wanting to argue with you here, waiting for the op to clarify.

@admiral_307: Gaunts Ghosts, the Tanith 1st and only is the top dog and they murder. M'Koll destroys the entire command structure solo.

I agree catachans also stomp, the eylsians and anything led by yarrick or creed as well.
